Red Roof Inn & Suites Macon

Nice and helpful staff from the front desk to the housekeepers. They were amazing. Could have more for breakfast and cleaner linens. Other than that, worth the stay and I will choose to stay again if coming through area.

The room was great for our stay overnight, but the jacuzzi tub leaked.

NOTHING like the pictures or good reviews. This was place was disgusting! Started off walking through the lobby, it was hot and cluttered, fans everywhere and guy at the desk was creepy. Thought I’d still give the room a chance.. go up to our floor and the halls are very hot and smell strongly of marijuana. Walk into our room and the floors have not been swept, there’s stuff ALL over the walls (some sort of liquid rolling down all the walls), hair in the shower and BUGS. Very sketchy people walking in the halls. Terrible place to stay.

The bed was terrible!!!!! Pillows were uncomfortable. Musty smell. Not much of a variety for the free breakfast.

I would definitely stay here again it was clean and the people were friendly. However, they apparently have problems with their elevators and it was storming off and on throughout the night. The electricity went off several times and TV would not work for most of the time we were in the room. They put us on the 4th floor which was fine at first but then the next morning the elevators were broken I guess because of the storms and we had to carry very heavy luggage down for flights of stairs which was not great at all. My husband has a bad back and it was very challenging to get everything back into our car since we could not use a luggage rack for the elevator. I would suggest you take care of the elevator issue so that it doesn't break every time lightning strikes.

Older hotel, could use a refresh, but for the cost it was fine.

The breakfast left a lot to be desired as far as options go. Waffles, biscuits and sausage gravy, bread, and cereal. So if you're more demanding in your breakfast expectations, just be aware. The room was clean, the bed was FIRM, and the staff was very polite.

Arrived with hopes of a clean facility. We stayed but it appeared to have an abundance of people in lounge and outside just hanging out, it gave a feel of being unsafe. We will not be back. The parking lot was uneven ( needs re black topped) making it hard to roll suitcases, and then again people outside smoking and drinking near entrance. Poor

Worth the stay. Beds are on the hard side. Parking lot was terrible!! Elevator has sign saying if the light flickers to not use the elevator. To use stairs instead. Minor things wrong are the plug behind the bed appears instead like nobody cared. As far as breakfast. Biscuits were very hard. You had cereal but no milk in site at least from what I could see. People outside smoking weed. Should not be tolerated in public even outside on the property. Staff were very friendly! Light fixture in bathroom rusting and no vent for bathroom.

The rooms advertise soundproofing…ABSOLUTELY NOT! You could hear a pin drop in the hallway. There was NO air conditioning in the hotel outside of rooms. Pool is small and the area it’s located in is overshadowed by the hotel so no way to get much sun. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, but this could have been a much better stay were the common areas better maintained and the SOUNDPROOFING were accurate.

Very dog friendly and all staff were nice. Affordable. Nothing fancy. Appreciated an easy place to stay as a solo traveler with a dog.

I will definitely stay at this hotel again!

Was a really decent room. A bit humid, which made everything feel damp. But not smelly. Slept comfortably and left. Is stay again for the price.

We couldn’t stay there due to horrible room condition and received no amicable resolution from the hotel staff or Expedia. Was charged in full for a place we never slept in.

The room was clean, and the beds were very comfortable, which made for a good night's sleep. The hotel itself is a bit older, and the bathroom doesn't have an exhaust fan. We also experienced a weak Wi-Fi connection, which made it difficult to get some work done, and the TV signal occasionally cut out. Our in-room coffee maker wasn't working, but the lobby always had complimentary coffee and hot water available, so it wasn't a major issue. The only thing I'd suggest paying a little more attention to is the bathroom supplies. The toilet paper rolls were both nearly empty when we checked in, which was a minor inconvenience. Overall, it was a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located hotel for an overnight stay, and we would stay here again.

The property could use some updates. Also, there was a dog barking all morning that disturbed my rest, and the hotel doesn’t offer late checkout. The staff was friendly, and the hotel wasn’t difficult to find.
