Cambria Hotel Madison East

Our stay at this location was exclusive. Clean rooms, friendly staff and peaceful night.

My stay at the Cambria Hotel was just ok. The hotel itself was very nice and the lobby would make you think that you were going to have a nice experience. Unfortunately, my room was very dirty. Crumbs and hair on the floor, residue left on the couch, desk, and armchair, stains on the bed, and a sink that didn't drain properly. This left me feeling really disappointed especially after we had housekeeping come and clean and it was left basically the same as it was before. To add to that we had random people knocking on the door in the mornings that would wake us up and made us feel a little creeped out since these people were not staff. I will say that one of the ladies at the front was super sweet and helped us out with our luggage when we arrived, but another lady with red hair was very rude and would walk towards the back and disappear every time she saw people needing her help. I would have rather stayed somewhere cheaper for the same standards.

I liked the room and decor- staff were nice.

Great stay

My room was very spacious and clean. Had a microwave and fridge which was very helpful in my travels. The pool is small was I had it to myself so it was perfect!

The property is fine, but rundown a bit.

Parking lot was under construction but otherwise great place to stay, wonderful room view, and helpful staff!

Property seemed to be under renovation there was a large mirror just loose sitting up against the wall icemaker didn't work, the bed was nice and the room was nice and large I just expected more from other Cambria's I stayed at in Omaha and Traverse city Michigan this was nowhere like that experience, but overall all we survived I was just expecting the normal luxury experience that we did not get

Dozens of "drain flies" in our bathroom. Contacted the hotel, said they could move us, but that was at 11:00 p.m. and was told they didn't have a comparable room. When we checked out the next morning, woman at desk said yes, they knew what the flies were and they need to "treat the plumbing/drains" SO, they are aware they have a fly/bug problem, but haven't remedied it in the rooms they charge a ton for! Would REALLY appreciate some sort of compensation, for having to sleep in an insect-infected room!

The room was dirty, not clean at all. Lots of dead bugs smushed against the wall and the window shades. Drain flys all over the room. The closet had a gross sticky, brown substance all over the walls, so clearly attention to detail when cleaning isn’t there. Floor had residue all over it. Staff was okay, not super pleasant but okay. Elevators were slow and we had to walk down the stairs with n the last day due to elevators being used to hall up the new mattresses they were changing.

The airport shuttle is inconvenient and only runs 8am-5pm. Overall a bit rude. Rooms were spacious clean and very nice however.

Room was clean. AC buttons broken so had to guess when adjusting room temp. Some floor tiles loose in bathroom.

Everything was great. Just need a vending machine on the third floor

Disappointed: we were looking for a hotel with an airport, shuttle and called the central reservation system to confirm that the shuttle is available as it said on the website. We are arriving at 11 PM. She said yes, just let the desk know. I booked an Expedia. I called the hotel directly to see when we would arrive and was told that there is no shuttle after 5 PM when we arrived at the hotel after taking a rideshare I commented that there was conflicting information, especially after she said there was a shuttle available until 8 PM. She didn’t seem happy when I suggested that somebody should make the story consistent, especially since the website brags about having shuttle services for their hotels. The bed was not very comfortable and the sheets on one bed were raggedy. They certainly weren’t crisp. Making it seem like they weren’t even fresh. The morning, checkout staff were nice and the shuttle back to the airport was arranged that problem.
