Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Madras

Drove almost 3 hours there got told no cats and guess what cant even get refund either cuz its within 24hrs. Staff said "u should have called" how about u put clearly on the site "NO CAT" dogs only!!

Easy and convenient stop along our route. Basic amenities and helpful staff.

The front desk person was rude. The room was dirty and smelled bad

It was a good price but we would have like to watch some TV while we were relaxing.

Upon check-in, my husband and I were placed in room 44, a king room. Upon inspection, we discovered maggots in a drawer, mouse droppings, food debris, hair in both the sink and in the refrigerator, and what appeared to be dried blood splatter on multiple surfaces. The refrigerator did not work and had condensation running down it. There was no coffee pot, the towels were wadded on the rack and the room had a foul smell. Two drawers/cabinets in the room were locked and inaccessible, raising concern that the room had been recently lived in. The property's own manager later confirmed Room 44 was a maintenance room and not intended for guest occupancy. There was a rodeo in town and we were initially told there were no other rooms available there, nor (after us checking), were there any vacancies in the entire town. So we asked for cleaning supplies to clean the room. Only then did staff offer another room, but said the key card did not work and we would need to have staff let us in every time or leave the door propped open. We took pictures of room 44 and then the manager personally walked us to room 18. Room18 was cleaner, but the television did not work. Unless changes are made immediately, we would not advise anyone to stay at the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites in Madras, Oregon. We will be asking for a full refund immediately!

Well to start our room didn’t have a safety lock, so our toddler was able to open the door at will. We had to block the door with luggage. Had to ask for a plug for the bathtub and then a plunger because the toilet would only flush half the time. We were woken up at midnight and again at 5am from people outside our doors and windows yelling and being loud. Never again will we stay there. The only positive was the location being easy in and out with a trailer.

Absolutely disgusting property. The overwhelming smell of cleaner in the room made us nauseous and have a headache. Absolutely no concern whatsoever by hotel staff and did not offer a solution.

This is a no frills motel that is dated. No breakfast offered. But it was functional and clean for an overnight stay. The bed was great

An older property but well maintained. Clean, quiet, slept great. The coffee pot didn’t work well but other than that no issues.

The provided radio didn’t have charger USB A plugs that worked. Room 8

Avoid! Run down, patch covering hole in shower, lamps askew, feels dirty, pool out of order. My daughter looks like she got bit by bed bugs.

Dog feces right in front of the entry to the room. It was a fake grass area where people let their pets go, and it hadn't been cleaned in months. Stunk like urine. The bed was the worst bed I've ever slept in. Stains on the pillows, and all the towels. I didn't dare check the mattress. No smoke detector. Lamp cord was repaired with masking tape. Everything inside was beat up and looked 40 years old. Air conditioner rattled and made annoying noises all night.

Good for the price. Would stay again for the deal. Staff were friendly. Pool was down with no pre-notification. Bed was fine, pillows were flat and need to be replaced.

The room was old but immaculately cleaned. The pool was not open and I couldn't get the ice machine to work either. But, we did sleep well even being so close to the highway.

It was our first time staying at this hotel and we were very impressed. The room was nice, clean, and quiet considering it was near the highway. The check in was quick and friendly. Would definitely stay again.
