If you've never stayed at an old-fashioned roadside motel then you already have a pretty good feel for Four Winds. The staff was friendly. The room was very clean and the price was right. While on a main road, the motel itself is that far enough back that we didn't hear any traffic. We selected Four Winds because it's dog friendly. As it turns out there's a very large meadow right behind the hotel on the property where you can let the dog run. It's evident from the work being done that this hotel is being modernized. Our room is fresh paint and for the most part very modern. Like most of these old-fashioned motels and the budget-friendly type, everything was just a little bit on the cheap side. It might be primarily because midsummer is not their season but I would say the breakfast service was kinda limited.

Very my ice owners Construction going on while there

The faucet in the bathroom was literally falling off, the toilet roll holder fell off. Otherwise was clean and the staff was nice.

The view of the mountains. The bed wasn't bad either as it was a new mattress. Breakfast was not much to speak of..bagels, small donuts and make your own waffle (which generally I love). The pool water was foggy and green. The rooms were being redone which left lots of construction around the area. The room remodels were very modern and didn't have a completely finished look. And although the rooms looked nice (for the most part), it just doesn't align with the name (a country motel)...Four Winds COUNTRY Inn. The room was not the cleanest. There was used dental floss in the chair behind the pillow, the bathroom mirror was dirty and there was a long black hair on the toilet (I do not have long black hair). The shower floor was also dirty. We had to let the shower run for at least 5 minutes in the morning in order to get hot water.

Only thing that was not great was the continental breakfast.. We went in and they had the smallest coffee maker I have ever seen which is ok I think we may have only been the only guests as it was a Sunday into Monday stay.. We opened the bagel box to grab a bagel and there were so many bugs that came out from the bagels.. We quickly decided to not get the breakfast and went down the road to a gas station for our coffee.

No hot tub, lousy shower head, overpriced compared to Aspen, right down the street

We had a very enjoyable stay, and the breakfast had many items which appealed to us. We will stay at this hotel again.
