The Reluctant Panther Inn and Restaurant

The Reluctant Panther is an upscale inn with a relaxed vibe. We arrived a little early for check-in and was promptly shown our room by a very welcoming staff. Our Deluxe King Room exceeded our expectations in size and comfort, and the shower was superb. Breakfast in a basket with a choice of where to eat was a welcome change from traditional breakfasts. The wingback chair in the room, though comfortable, has two tears in the arms and requires replacement.

Maybe is import to improve the linen ( sheets) and the breakfasts is very small.

Lovely rooms and fabulous restaurant.

Big bedroom and bathroom. Could use some updating. Tub was difficult to get into(I’m 70)very high. Nice grounds. Basket breakfast was good.

Breakfast was delicious and delivered to our room on time The dinner we had was also delicious and great service. The lady at the front desk was so nice and helpful. Nothing. Everything was great !

Comfortable bed. Charming idea to have bathroom and bedroom share a fireplace. First, our air conditioner stopped working, so we were told to use window air conditioner. Then, timer on electric fireplace for stuck, so instead of turning off as we drifted off to sleep, it stayed in all night, rendering the room stifling. Third, the shower is ridiculously laid out. Fourth, despite completing a breakfast dossier, our breakfast did not come out complete. Finally, the hanger steak was tasteless.

The inn was in a nice location, short drive to most attractions, shops, etc. Room was clean but worn, especially the outdated shower. Don’t like having to climb into a tub and it was an old one with jets. Breakfast was included and was delivered to room. Best feature is the restaurant - we had one of the best meals we’ve ever had.

At checkin they upgraded us to a Jr. Suite, which was fantastic. They have a nice little bar and the restaurant was fabulous. Highly recommend this Hotel.

The staff was very friendly and personable. We really enjoyed our rooom, it was large, well appointed, and very comfortable. Breakfast was nicely prepared, and very satisfying. We plan to stay again.

Beautiful, well-appointed inn. They upgraded our room for no charge, which was very nice. Friendly staff and convenient location. Will come back in cooler months to enjoy the fireplace in the room.

Great location! The staff was polite and kind and the best part of the trip was the restaurant at the Reluctant Panther. Food was mouthwatering

The inn is beautiful and quiet with a lovely pond and garden for sitting. The food is wonderful and thoughtfully prepared and every staff person was friendly and happy to help with great local information. Adirondack chairs in a beautiful back yard compliment this extremely well maintained historic property.

The hotel is well maintained and enjoyable to stay at.
