Clean, friendly staff, good breakfast. Didn't like the $100 deposit charge for potential damages that I was unaware off when booking. Just an older facility.

hotel is old and outdated, room smelt like mold and cigarettes, old curtains, trim scuffed up and paint peeling off, etc. My husband and I lasted 3 hrs in room and decided to drive home cause of excessive sneezing, eyes watering, nose running, throat burning, tried to open windows to air room out, didnt work. Would not recommend at all

Staff were extraordinary and the Thai restaurant attacked was outstanding. Enjoyed the hot tub and pool immensely. I look forward to another stay!

This place is a CON! I’ve never experienced such disrespect and lack of empathy for people! For 1 they wouldn’t allow me to check in early and that was fine but I asked if I could swim while I waited and they said no. So I waited to get there at 3 and once I got there the owner refused to let me check in because I last minute had a extra person and the room I booked was for 2 so he threatened me a $150 fine if I stayed. Then when I decided to go elsewhere and he refused to cancel my booking so I could get my refund. He said either stay in the room and get fined or I’m screwed. He’s made it EXTREMELY difficult for me. This place is definitely gross and dirty looking, it has a rice and shine attached to it if that doesn’t tell you something. I would HIGHLY recommend going somewhere else! When you book a hotel your expected a certain hospitality and this place is NOT it. Save yourself the headache. You get what you pay for here.

Very dated property

The room was super clean as was the entire property
-
Location The smell, staff entering your room without permission while occupied.
-
Friendly staff, the room was clean, great location ! Only a minute or two from the beach, a few minutes away from meijer and only like 5 minutes away from downtown.

Close to where we were going Hard to get out of the parking lot. Woman in charge of breakfast very rude.

Passable

Used this hotel as a place to say for a nearby weekend family get-together. Check in was a bit slow as there were problems with either the booking system and/or a new staff member. I would describe this hotel as an older property that has been updated. Building had somewhat of a musty smell to it but it wasn't overpowering. Beds were very comfortable; room was clean (although I did find a two-week old receipt under one of the beds); and having a pool and hot tub was a bonus for our stay. Breakfast was decent; my only suggestion would be to have some fresh fruit items available as well. I would stay at this hotel again in the future.

Breakfast okay. Hotel needs upgrade badly.

Check in staff was friendly For the price of the stay, not worth it, rooms are terribly outdated, bathroom did not even have a fan, you can hear everything, including when other guest use the water... They also but an additional 100 dollar hold for room damage.
-
Mold in the shower, fridge barely worked, very outdated, pricing for the outdated room is more expensive than the updated room, plugs loose, and entry way has an odor.

We come to Manistee at least once every summer and we always stay at this hotel. Staff is always very nice and accommodating. Our room was very comfortable and my daughter and I always enjoy the pool and hot tub. Other than the toilet running off and on constantly we had no complaints. As others said, it would be nice if breakfast had a few healthier options but we still made due and the lady who works in the dining area was really nice. It does make me sad because we plan on coming back to Manistee in the Fall and we had to choose a different place to stay because since it went under Econo Lodge the cost has gone up significantly and the hotel is pretty much exactly the same as it has been for years. Please consider making your prices reasonable again so your loyal customers don’t have to go elsewhere.

Not much The window ac was loud. The plumbing in the bathroom was horrible. The breakfast was very meager.
