Superb

Room was very clean. Bed wasn't the most comfortable but its hard to find a hotel that has comfortable beds. I recommend taking the tour of the hotel. I had the queen suite and it was quite nice.

I liked the historical aspect of it very cool. Would recommend a stay there to anyone staff was very nice and helpful. The parking alittle difficult but manageable

The staff was above and beyond helpful & friendly. Parking was close. We did not have a chance to eat dinner in the dining room, but some other guests that we talked to did and said it was amazing. We had a burger in their lounge and it was very good. They do not serve a breakfast but there is a coffee shop with in walking distance with good coffee and excellent pastries.

Classic architecture. Like staying at a museum. Narrow hallways but that is just classic Wright.
-
The room door was hard to open and close from them being warped. There was stuff on the bathroom floor from another guest that was never cleaned up. There’s really not much to do around there. The food was ok, not bad, not great. The drinks were not good. Old Fashioned was way too sweet and the dirty martini was not dirty and asked for more and got about a half teaspoon more olive juice. This hotel could be amazing. I loved the architecture, my guess is the draw.

Great hotel, unique re Frank Loyd Wright design.

We didn’t know there was a breakfast. Wish we had! The dusting job in the room. Lower shelves and furniture legs along with the window blinds were very dusty. Also, the vent above the bed needs cleaning so badly that the ceiling if dustily from it.

Beautiful, well-renovated, enchanting That I couldn’t stay longer

Great Great Great all around! Location, parking, staff, atmosphere! So beautiful
-
My room was mostly clean (water rings on some of the furniture that were sticky), but overall satisfactory. It was quiet and comfortable. I liked the layout including a sitting area with a desk. The architecture was beautiful (Frank Lloyd Wright). It’s a bit dated, but not awful. Close to Mason City’s downtown which is so quaint and totally walkable. Lots of history and beautiful architecture. I highly recommend if you want to hang out for a day or two.

The rooms are so unique and comfortable

Beautifully restored common areas and exterior. Really well done. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Rooms were a little beat up, mattress was hard as a rock, could hear people above us walking around (to be expected in a historic hotel, still didn’t love it), and people talking in alley outside window until early morning hours.

We didn’t partake in adult beverages there at the HPI so can't really comment on that. But everything else was amazing. We really enjoyed the stay!!
