Great location. Room was sizeable. Gentleman running the restaurant was very nice. No water. The hotel was doing renovations, and as a result water was turned off between 9 am and 4pm. No communication went out about this to us prior to check in. Nor was it mentioned at check in. There was only a sign posted and after I read it and questioned the staff member she said yes this is current. We headed up to our room and then after discussing amongst ourselves we headed back down to the lobby after check in. I asked if there was communication sent out about the water they said no. That they just found out about it that it wasn’t planned. Another host stepped out of the office, and said we were offering at the time of check in for you to cancel your reservation free of charge. I said why was this option not presented to me at the time of check in or the fact that there was no water acknowledged? Then another host said I don’t know I just started working here I only work here once a month. Okay understandable, if that’s the case then why aren’t the staff being briefed on the current situation prior to them interacting with guests. Then another host said we are also offering to comp the parking fee and breakfast. I said with our booking we were told breakfast was included with our stay so that isn’t really a comp for us. She went on to say no Hilton property does continental breakfast which I know for a fact is untrue. She said that the double tree by Hilton has no affiliation with booking.com, trivago, or any other site of the sorts. And breakfast would never be included. I found the staff very defensive. They did comp our breakfast for one day and our parking. On top of the water issue The wifi didn’t work, and our bathroom door didn’t close. I had to turn on my data as I don’t reside in the states, which I didn’t want to have to do because the hotel offered wifi. Upon check out I headed to the lobby just to ensure that I wouldn’t be charged for parking, and there was a new sign posed that said due to our planned water outage due to the renovation...

There was NO hot water. Staff let us know after we checked in and had to take a freezing shower to get ready for the evening.

Property is in an excellent location for downtown, it was clean and the bed was comfortable They didn’t have any water from 9 to 4 every day and we were not told that anywhere on the website when we booked there was no hot water at night to take showers. The staff seemed very unhappy and did not want to answer a lot of questions they were unpleasant. They also kept trying to charge my card. An additional $800 every day. I have already paid for the property upfront and security deposit.

I am no hotel connoisseur and I never leave reviews. If the room is reasonably comfortable and clean, I just need a place to crash. But I arrived late and was given a room that was 75 degrees and with barely functional air conditioning. I went downstairs after a sweaty attempt to just to go bed and the front desk initially tried to tell me they couldn't change my room because "it's the next day" i.e. 230am. I refused to go away and we tried another room (broken AC unit) and then another (weak AC and extreme heat again but I just needed to sleep so I took it). Because of the water shut-offs and my schedule for the work I was in town for, I was never able to shower. I left Minneapolis sleep-deprived and filthy thanks to this hotel. At the very least, they should've communicated in advance and during my stay about the extensive and shifting periods of water shut-off. The lack of effective/functional AC in a large chain hotel just says to me that someone is starting over with this property and doesn't care about guest experience in the meantime.

The mirror in the bathroom was about to fall off the wall. We did not have any hot water in our room.

Employee service in response to an unexpected situation is good My room was not ready on my first night; the room is dark; They arranged a second room for me the next day, but hot water was down for the whole day, fixed the day after. Pillows were not filled with regular pillow filling; instead, it was filled with a small folded blanket, which makes the sleeping experience unpleasing.

I liked the location Unclean room with the most uncomfortable bed and pillows I have ever slept on

I had two problems. The room thermostat must have been broken. Was set to 60 degrees, changed it to 75. After five hours, it was still cold in the room. Set it to 78, went to bed. I was still cold when I woke up in middle of night. Changed it to 82, still so cold at checkout. Also the bathroom faucet had no hot water, tub faucet was scorching hot. Other than those issues, it was great. Clean, friendly and helpful staff at check in and out.

There was a strange smell in the room when we arrived and there was no running water due to building maintenance 9am-4pm for the week. Parking at this place is also terrible, there arent a lot of spots and the vehicle that parked next to me hit my car. We wont stay here again.

The location is great. You are able to get to everything in the city in a reasonable amount of time. The water is shut off daily from 9am to 4pm daily and has been that way since July according to their signs. Why was this not something that I was not made aware of before reserving the room. Took 4 out of 5 showers with no hot water at all. Freezing showers.

Room was nice and clean. All the add ons. I assumed breakfast was included for a $200 room

Toilet don’t work when I first checked in, I let the staff know but after coming back 6 hours later it still wasn’t working. The following morning the hot water did not work. When I let the staff know, they said some rooms have hot water and some don’t, they could move me if I wanted. I had unloaded all my stuff for an event, and moving was a lot of work. I then asked if they can refund a portion of my room instead, and they said no.

They should explain the breakfast to people. And how you need a voucher or it’s not free

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The water took about 15 minutes to turn hot. Wish the front desk people mentioned it. No trash can in the bathroom, very weird when you're shedding your uterine walls...

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The building turned the water off everyday from 9AM to 10PM which was not something I was informed of when making my reservation. When the water was on it did not get warm. The hotel/manager refused to give me a discount for the inconvenience as well.

The room was clean and even though there was remodeling going on, it was very quiet.
