Clarion Hotel Convention Center

Great place!

The rooms are very dated and there are bugs in the room. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are spacious. This hotel could use some updating.

The room was big and clean. The staff was friendly and breakfast was excellent!

Excellent hotel, great breakfast, convenient location. Only problem was check in. Reserved King bed. But housekeeping had forgotten to clean room, so we were assigned a room with two Queen beds. It wasn’t until we had partially unpacked that we realized they were Double beds. They offered another King room but we didn’t want to repackage to move.

The carpet in our room had a hole in it and smelled of stale hotel. Time for a reno! I went to look at the pool, as I knew the hot tub wasn't working from the signs at the front desk. Apparently pool maintenance isn't a priority. The kids fountains and slides were not spraying any water and appeared to not be operational. The swimming pool, which was my goal on a 102 degree day, had green things in the bottom of it. I am wondering who is incharge of it maintenance! I did not get in because it did not look healthy. The breakfast bar was well maintained and the staff seemed to be working hard to keep it stocked. The dining area had booths to sit in but the leatherette on the booths was cracked and worn. I was disappointed in the overall upkeep of what I assumed would be of a Clarion name brand quality.

Staff was nice, check in was fast. Air conditioning was great in room and continental breakfast was awesome. Only stayed 1 day to visit family only cons was hot tub was down for maintenance and family was not allowed to swim in your pool even tho I had a room.

Great location & everything was tiptop

Hot tub was not in operation, Bar/restaurant closed early on July 4th and breakfast the morning of July 5 closed early, which is too bad as most guests were staying for the races and fireworks across the street! Room doors banging is very annoying...would be great if they were soft-close! Glass door to enter to our poolside room was hard for kids and adults to open, had to have a staff member assist, and he even struggled.

Front desk staff was friendly, however the jacuzzi heater was out so it was closed. They closed the pool at 8pm for no apparent reason (I guess since it was July 4th, but what does that matter, they dont have a lifeguard!). The breakfast was ok... scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, make your own waffles, various breads, one danish choice, apples and oranges, and some yogurt cuips in the fridge... nothing really special.

Clean room, helpful staff. We were on the fifth floor and only one elevator worked, and sometimes that elevator didn’t work needs repair.

Clean and spacious room. Quiet. Accross the road from Nodak Speedway. Breakfast was excellent.

Staff, however seem very friendly, but still, avoid this place.

Great place to stay

Clean and quiet room… the only thing that needs addressed is the low water pressure in the shower… more or less a trickle. I consider not staying here just for that alone… a good shower is a great way to start the day.

The staff—from check in to the bar—were so nice and helpful.

It was good for a place to sleep. However, the place is a bit run down, my room in particular. The wall paper is separating from the walls, which were dirty. So I don’t blame it for trying to separate. The coffee maker was missing the cradle to hold the coffee, the hair dryer was in pieces. The lounge was a joke, a few poker machines and a guy in a hoodie dealing blackjack. The hotel was basically empty, and I can see why. The bed was comfortable though.
