Clarion Hotel Convention Center

Hot tub was not in operation, Bar/restaurant closed early on July 4th and breakfast the morning of July 5 closed early, which is too bad as most guests were staying for the races and fireworks across the street! Room doors banging is very annoying...would be great if they were soft-close! Glass door to enter to our poolside room was hard for kids and adults to open, had to have a staff member assist, and he even struggled.

Front desk staff was friendly, however the jacuzzi heater was out so it was closed. They closed the pool at 8pm for no apparent reason (I guess since it was July 4th, but what does that matter, they dont have a lifeguard!). The breakfast was ok... scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, make your own waffles, various breads, one danish choice, apples and oranges, and some yogurt cuips in the fridge... nothing really special.

Clean room, helpful staff. We were on the fifth floor and only one elevator worked, and sometimes that elevator didn’t work needs repair.

Clean and spacious room. Quiet. Accross the road from Nodak Speedway. Breakfast was excellent.

Staff, however seem very friendly, but still, avoid this place.

Great place to stay

Clean and quiet room… the only thing that needs addressed is the low water pressure in the shower… more or less a trickle. I consider not staying here just for that alone… a good shower is a great way to start the day.

It was good for a place to sleep. However, the place is a bit run down, my room in particular. The wall paper is separating from the walls, which were dirty. So I don’t blame it for trying to separate. The coffee maker was missing the cradle to hold the coffee, the hair dryer was in pieces. The lounge was a joke, a few poker machines and a guy in a hoodie dealing blackjack. The hotel was basically empty, and I can see why. The bed was comfortable though.

This place is an absolute dump. The only redeeming quality is the bar.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, that was the positive part. The negatives were the facility is in disrepair, the restaurant was closed permanently, but it is still listed on their website that it is open. The pool was closed permanently. They took the ice machines off of the floors of rooms and have only one on the main floor. The pigeons on are faux balcony outside our window were filthy and loud. The guy at the front desk was out of it, he wrote down our room number when we checked in. We couldn’t figure out what he’d written and had to go back to the front desk. Later on we saw him sleeping on the counter.

ceiling was filty, and cracking. I stayed there in the late 80's and early 90's and I still think think the rooms have the same curtins. I slept in my cloths on top of the covers, because I was afraid what I might find under the covers. Whole hotel needs a complete facelift inside and out!!

I love this place and the staff on all shifts were so nice and I appreciate their hard work.

I really enjoyed the bar area and the lady working was very friendly and pleasant.

Have stayed at the hotel regularly my whole life to attend races at the Nodak Speedway and still love it to this day! However, on our most recent trip, they closed the pool at 8pm each night. Which was heartbreaking to my 2-year old. Not only was the pool closed early, when we did get a chance to get into it, it was ice cold! Could definitely be turned up 10 degrees!
