Frequent and loud trains nearby, shabby interior, dented doors - not a 4 star accommodation experience - we checked out 20 minutes after checking in.

Madison Hotel is an excellent hotel.

A gem of a hotel. Lovely architecture and decor. Bar/restaurant on premises was gorgeous with good food. Breakfast was included (free). Rooms were attractive and comfortable. Not far from Newark airport and an easy train ride to NYC. Highly recommend this hotel.

I had my engagement party there and I stayed in a room there. Simply outstanding.

Clean room, nice bar and restaurant. Plenty of parking, quiet neighborhood

Wonderful room, clean, spacious room. Breakfast seating was chaotic and not very functional when busy.

Very good however room was not cleaned for second night

The front desk person on the first night we checked in was robotic. The nighttime front desk person was snippy when my daughter asked for an extra roll of toilet paper. The following day the front desk person during the day was friendly and very professional (8/1/26). The room was clean except for the shower which had hair in it. Cleanliness is very important to me so this was quite offensive to me. The main entree at the wedding in the Grand Ballroom Saturday night was absolutely the worst food I’ve ever had at a wedding! I ordered the chicken and could not eat it as it was actually inedible. The people at my table who ordered the salmon could not eat their entree because it had too many bones in it. The salad had a strange taste to it so that was inedible as well. The overall experience was not very positive!

i had purchased and paid for my room through expedia. when i arrived friday evening, the sullen clerk claimed to have no record. he proceeded to charge me more than i had originally paid. expedia said the hotel HAD confirmed my reservation and i believe i deserve a refund of the $514 i was charged the second time.

We were given the ADA accessible room which we didn't need. We should have asked for a different room so some of our disappointment in the hotel was our fault. The bathroom had no lip for the shower so we had to stand in water at the sink after showering. Our room was never cleaned during our 2 night stay and we had used all of the towels trying to absorb the water at the sink.
