Madison Hotel

I was expecting a fancy hotel but the truth is it was obvious the hotel had been amazing in its day but has not been updated in a while. The rooms were clean and the service was good but they no longer had a pool ( not noted on hotels.com) and the gym was basic. It was a good stay but don’t expect more than a good, clean place to sleep.

The place was clean and attractively decorated, although slightly run down if you look too close. Bed was comfortable and the location was convenient. Our issues were with customer service. After trying to call the front desk three times to confirm we would be late check-ins and getting no answer, we turned to Expedia, who eventually got in touch with someone, but not without difficulties. When we got there at midnight, having been told late check-in was no problem, there was no staff to be found for 3-5 minutes while we stood in a lobby that was like a ghost town. Finally, the registration clerk appeared from a side hall and was very professional, but I had to wonder what kind of over-loaded responsibilities or poor training led to them not being at their station to take calls or receive guests at four different points in that evening between 10-12. It's a perfectly fine facility, but they need to work on this.

The staff Friendly, The restaurant 10/10, the issue we had was the power outage. The building does not have a generator so everything went out and we were left hot in our rooms. No staff came to check on us, or offer any cold beverages. We were hoping to have power in an hour but we ended up waking next morning sweating. The emergency lighting was not on so we had to move through the building with our phone flashlights. Once we got to the front desk the next morning to find out if we were going to at least be getting breakfast, that too was not being served. By then we were done and decided to pack our things and just leave.

Hotel was lovely. I wish we had more time there. We only stayed one night on our way home from Virginia Beach but it was a lovely stop and a pleasant surprise. The restaurant was phenomenal.

Great food, clean and attentive staff

Location and staff were excellent. Beds and pillows were very comfortable Breakfast was very good! I enjoyed very much and would stay there again. Musty smell at first in room but I opened the window and it went away quickly. Elevators would not always work. After pressing button it would stay on ground level. Air conditioning a little loud. Price a little high for older hotel.

Price for one night stay $415.00 is ridiculous. 1st and last time staying there.

I was scheduled for a 9am surgery at Morristown hospital but when I got to my car I found the battery had died. Mr Wilson at the front desk helped us get someone to jump start the car he then drove me to the hospital so my wife could go to Autozone.He was a lifesaver for going above and beyond. Thanks again

Clean, accommodating staffs I think it’s a like bit too expensive

Everything I’d expect from a big brand that I am used to with a nice restaurant and bar attached in a great area. Looks like a good place for an event also.

Free parking. 2 nice restaurants on site. Can be a bit noisy since hosts wedding.events but nothing major. Would recommand, we liked morristown.

Included breakfast was great for us! Location was nice and very clean and updated.

Just stayed one night for work. Didn’t have time to enjoy the facility but from what I experienced, it was nice.

Breakfast was great, the happy hour was a welcome surprise. The facility was clean and beautiful! The staff was wonderful. I enjoyed the steakhouse and especially the piano accompaniment. I attended an event at St. Elizabeth University so the location of the hotel was perfect. The main rooms were warm for a summer day but my room a/c was wonderful.

were unresponsive when reminded that we had requested an early check in . They need to improve their approach to customers as it sets an unpleasant tone upon arrival.

Updated and clean room, comfortable lobby with plenty of seating, and Rod's next door for food and/or drinks is a plus.
