Crown Reef Beach Resort and Waterpark

Water park & pools were really great. Rooms were a bit dirty and there is definitely a cockroach problem at the resort that needs addressed… We saw several inside & outside of the resort.

Guest service was horrible and room was falling apart.

Pool area was nice! Room was ok

First room we were given, had roaches in tower two floor 5. We were given another room on floor 10 tower 1, which was guaranteed to not have bugs which it didn’t, we were told if by chance it did we would need to wait until morning for maintenance to get in. Other than that situation everything you need to have fun is there or with in distance.

The hotel was reasonably priced and the location was great,

actually pretty chill and pretty clean considering how old the resort is!

It was a nice place just the room was small, it had hair in the tub and tables weren’t clean.

The location was decent. Access directly to the beach and most of the places we were going to were within 10-15 min. Besides that, I paid ahead and was told that was the price with taxes and fees yet when I showed up I still ended up paying another 250-300 for “taxes and fees”. All of the workers seemed miserable and weren’t any help at all. First walk into my room I had to call maintenance due to my smoke detector going off every 45 seconds(no exaggeration)and they had to come back again the next day while trying to say it was our fault. They ended up replacing it thankfully. Room services was on top of waking us up every morning at 9 so don’t expect to sleep in on vacation. Even though they’d leave trash in the walkway for a day or two and didn’t clean anything they’d show up. 2 out of 6 of our lights worked correctly. The elevators were terrible. Also noticed multiples roaches in our room.Wasnt at all what was expected sadly.

Great staff and place to vacation

The hotel is conveniently located just 4/5 minutes from the airport, which was a huge plus. However, parking can be a bit tricky, especially when you return from exploring Myrtle Beach in the evening. The rooms, especially the bathrooms, were disappointing compared to the pictures, but overall, it was a manageable stay for our 3-day/4-night trip. The restaurant menu was a bit limited, but the food arrived quickly. The bar and grill staff provided great service.

It’s the perfect hotel bubble for parents and children. Lots of fun stuff to do within walking distance and easy access to the beach from the resort properties.

Great family resort without breaking the bank. Staff was extra friendly and helpful. Hotel had many on-site activities for the kids, 3 big water slides, water park was mini , lazy river, 5 pools and arcade. Also in close proximity to a pier. Where you car rent fishing equipment. My son caught his first fish all by himself.

At check-in other charges not mentioned were added Room was very small, we had 2queen

Overall it was a good stay. The water oark was clean and fun. Has good stay in the hotel. Lots of restaurents within driving distance. Ample parking spots, helpful staff

The property was a mix of being okay and needing some improvements. This was our first time staying at this resort. The resort itself offers a decent amount to do. Check-in was very long. I was surprised by the line and how long it took to check in. The front desk staff was not the friendliest and had little sense of urgency despite the long check-in line. Getting to our room was easy. I was surprised by the room we got. The room was not updated and also in rough condition. The beds were clean and so was the bathroom. The bathroom was not in great shape though. We also struggle severely with opening and closing the sliding door as it was okd andin poor condition. From the website, I thought we would be staying in a different room that was updated an newer. The amenities were great, there were a lot of pools, and the waterslides were a great touch for the kids. There was a lot of debris and garbage on the patio and in the pools on certain days. Staff was not the nicest-some flat out ignored you and stared at you when you tried to engage. We went to the in-house Loco Gecko restaurant and that was disappointing. The staff again were not friendly at all and did not even hand out utensils. We had to find them ourselves. The food was subpar there, and we love the same restaurant down the road. It was also disappointing that gratuity was added to our bill when we only ordered a few appetizers. The service did not warrant the gratuity that was automatically added.

Good, had a few inconveniences, but enjoyed the stay.

On a positive note, the staff were great and very friendly. The pool was very clean, and the amenities were excellent—my kids really enjoyed them. The hotel’s location is very convenient.
