Pictures are not the what it seems, totally AI generated. Building is old, run down and needs renovations. Service is poor, I had to call three times to get the room cleaned when they said they would be coming two days in a row! I will not be back.

Didn’t know until we arrived that they charge an additional 15$ a day to park. The guards that walk around, completely ignored an argument between 3 different parents and a fight that happened in the indoor kids area. The water park is not Ada at all. My son who has some disabilities I won’t mention, was not able to do some things that we thought he would be able to. Also when the slides closed, my son started stimming, and one of the guards yelled at my son not knowing what was going on, which caused some issues. The place is nice, and a lot of fun, but we won’t be coming back due to the issues we had. Luckily we only stayed for 1 night. Would have stayed more if we enjoyed ourselves more but ended up staying at another resort for the following 4 days after checkout.

Clean room and a nice view of the ocean. Pools, lazy river and the hot tubs were nice but need more chairs for guests to use. Easy access to the beach as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

So let’s start and say how big and nice the property was with all the pools and different activities. Check in was terrible. I went the first time and it was early. The lady told me if I checked in early it would be $55 which was fine. She said there was a room she went to check me in charge me $55. The room wasn’t ready. I never got my money back. I came back at 3:45. I was the third one in line. It took me 35 minutes because the people at the counter didn’t speak much English they must be for exchange students. With the property being so big means there’s a lot of people not many places to sit by the pool too many people in the pool and all that amenities to actually enjoy. Also made the property a little dirtier because of so many people in foot traffic. There was standing water everywhere in pathways by the elevators and upstairs by the arcade. They charge you an additional $15 just to park there which you would think would be included in your fees. And we also found a few cockroaches running around inside our efficiency bedroom. The beach access was obviously amazing. Other than that there’s not much by the property to do to go for a walk and see stuff.

The hotel has a nice game room. A nice restaurant (slow service but nice). The pool and waterslides are as advertised. Beach is clean....BUT the hotel rooms themselves made me cringe. Mildew and moisture...the whole room needed to be cleaned. I saw my friends room and it was in better shape than mine so I dont want to blame the entire hotel, but my particular room and experience was less than average and worse than expected. Poolside liquor was very weak if you are looking for a drinking review. The lines were ridiculous and forget about getting a chair. Not enough. Could have been worse but I felt let down.

We have been staying at Crown Reef since 1996. We love it there. If we are vacationing in Myrtle Beach, Crown Reef is where we stay. It would be nice if there are lockers for rent so we can be hand-free when we are in the pools. The rooms needs fresh paint. Just my suggestions.

The rooms and hotel amenities worked well for our family, and overall, we felt comfortable during our visit. However, there were a couple of areas that could be improved. Seating around the pool was limited, especially during the busier parts of the day, so it was sometimes difficult to find a place to sit while the kids were swimming. The check-in process was also longer than expected, and the check-in office was located across the street from the actual hotel. This was a little inconvenient, especially after traveling with children and luggage. Despite those issues, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning because of the family-friendly atmosphere, enjoyable pool, and excellent beach access.

Very bad checking process

Expedia did a very poor job of securing the changes to my original reservation. Upon arrival my reservation changes were showing in the Crown Reef co.putet as canceled. My family of 2 female adults and 3 young children flew to Myetle Beach and were told we did not have a room and that there were no rooms available despite their sign reading vacancy. It took the caring heart a young woman named Erica, the front desk supervisor to secure a room for my family and me. I am very disappointed with Expedia after this traumatic experience.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Great ocean front views. AC was kickin’! Pools and water slides were fun. Beach was easily accessible. Would stay again!

Well, if you have a 4-10 year old kid(s) and you want slides and beach, this will be perfect. It’s very affordable. However check in was pretty long and bad, staff not friendly, saw a total of 5 cockroaches (none IN our room), and the room/property wasn’t super clean. Our room smelled bad. Trash around the pool deck there for days. But our 6 years old son had the time of his life.

Upon checking in, I was given room 801 in the first tower and told that was the only room left for the room type I had reserved. When I got to the room it was full of nets (alive and dead), the sheets had spots on them, the floor was nasty, the chair had a rip and so did the picture on the wall. It was not idea for a Monday through Saturday trip. I went back to the office requesting the young lady who checked me in and I was given someone different. I explained to the new representative that my room was infested with nets and wasn’t clean. She responded (let me go check with my boss to see if we can do anything about that). I replied, “ma’am, I’m not staying in a room full of nets. She left, went into the side office came back and said “okay, is the 10th floor okay with you”. We have 1001 available. I took the room. It was much better but the floor was dirty. I called for room service (cleaning) and didn’t get the things I requested until the second day after calling seven times. It just was idea being that I was there for a week long. I am disappointed being that I have only stayed at this hotel in the past whenever I went to Myrtle Beach for softball tournaments.
