OYO Hotel Myrtle Beach Kings Hwy

Great budget motel, a bit on the dingy side but my room was well cleaned. The stairs up to the second floor have no awning or cover, so if it rains you are out in the elements. Quick walk to the beach and the boardwalk, great location.

This property should be demolished and rebuilt. Sink and tub did not drain. Standing water in both. Everything was dirty. Furniture was broken. Terrible experience

The room was not as described. The floors were dirty. The beds were small and the door barely closed all the way. The best thing was the air conditioner. You couldn't get into the lobby they made you stand outside at a window for check in and everything you needed. They did honor the invoice I was sent from their hotel. Said it was because I booked through a third party. On the second day there we had a ride wake up from a nap when people opened our door and tried to come in because the front desk had given our room to them. We went to the desk to get our keys reactivated and wasn't even given an apology. We had to turn in our used towels to even get anymore and only what we turned in. We had to go buy our own pillows because they wouldn't give us any extra than what was already in the room. We were told that we couldn't have any visitors especially after 10 pm. It definitely wasn't worth the $400+ we spent for the weekend. We will never come back here again.

First of all. It was hard to locate. Wrong sign outside. Only sockets in my room that worked were the ones for the TV, ac, fridge and microwave. Shower gave out cold water randomly. Furniture looked like they got it from a yard sale. TV was mounted crooked. Shower was small and needed an update. Floors were dirty when we walked in. Pictures online seemed different from what we walked into. It was like a section 8 apartment basically. Overpriced in my opinion. Staff looked sketchy. Like it was being maintained by a crew from a halfway house. Other than that it was cool. Location was fine. Parking was ok. Decent little walk to the beach, stores, etc.

PHOTOS ARE VERY MISLEADING. It’s NOT cute. My door looked like it had been kicked in at some point. I piled furniture in front of the door. I could not wait to leave. I woke up at 3am to Doors slamming and headboards pounding against the walls from 3am to 6am. Do not recommend.

This location was nothing like explained. The room had a bad smell that smelt moldy. Bath tub surface was peeling . The shower curtain was not even hung correctly and has mold on the bottom. I was very disappointed. The staff was rude and not very helpful.

Right by the beach, can complaine is a very tourist area a lot to do around the place, a lot places to eat, walkable.

AC worked good. Room was very basic. Shower was tiny. Main issue is I was charged an additional fee once I got there. Not a deposit because I was charged that too. If you want a hotel that hasn’t had updates in a long time go here. You get what you pay for

Hotel was nothing as shown on pictures. Huge disappointment. No lobby and amenities as shown on pictures. I was assisted through a small window. The whole building is under repair to the point I didn’t want my friend to see where I was staying.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. The beds are big and comfortable. Our room had a full size fridge, air conditioner, a nice size tv, and a microwave. There wasn't a coffee pot but I have a small one I take on trips with me anyways so that wasn't an issue. The bathroom door didn't shut or lock (that wasn't a big issue this trip bc it was just me and my daughter that was there). They do have a decent size pool outside. They had security guys on the premises at all times which for our 1st time trip to Myrtle beach made us feel safer. We loved the fact that the beach and boardwalk is in walking distance from OYO. Over all a very good place to stay. I would recommend OYO hotel to friends.

Cleaning not the best, no housekeeping, no wifi, 2 blocks from the beach.

The hotel was quiet with no interuptions at night. The beds were comfortable. I did not feel like i was unsafe in the area walking around to and from my room.

Staff where super helpful and the rooms where easy to get into.

Not Family Friendly We stayed at the OYO Hotel in Myrtle Beach with our four young boys and felt very unsafe the entire time. The property had a sketchy vibe, the deadbolt on our door DID NOT WORK, and they had security on site. There was also no breakfast....

In my opinion, it looks nothing like the photos shown in the listing. I requested large beds but was given small ones. They asked for a $60 deposit, but when we asked for it back, they claimed the money we paid wasn't a deposit but was for something related to the property, so they didn't return it.

The staff was courteous and helpful. Everyone was so kind.
