Sands Ocean Club Resort

The rooms were dated and a little dirty. The sofa bed was broken. The amenities though were great which made it worth it.

Unfortunately, cleanliness was a concern. I found what appeared to be a sanitary part of a swimsuit on the bathroom wall, an empty Twix bag in a dresser drawer, and the bedroom remote was underneath the bed. The living room chair was extremely dirty, and I also found a used Band-Aid near the indoor pool. For a beach resort, I was disappointed that there were no beach towels and no towels available at the pool. The beach itself was beautiful and had excellent access from the hotel. Another major downside was the cigarette smoke. Many areas of the property smelled strongly of cigarettes, and smoking is allowed throughout the resort, which felt very outdated in 2026. The dining hall could also use an update. Since breakfast costs extra, I expected more variety; even basic options like waffles or pancakes would have been nice. It rained during our stay, so the indoor pool and hot tub areas became extremely crowded and felt dirty. The outdoor pool looked nice, though. The hotel does have lively nightlife and live music, and it seemed especially popular with an older crowd. Overall, the location and beach are great, and the room setup was convenient, but the cleanliness, smoking, lack of towels, and outdated dining areas kept this from being a better stay.

First when we arrived I knew it wasn’t going to be good lobby was dirty, I was hopping that our room was going to be clean but nop everything is falling apart , bathroom was dirty ( a lot off hair floor and tub . Mirror was on floor. Hair in beds I didn’t want it to stay because of my kids but unfortunately we didn’t find better place . Next time I’m no going to get a hotel whit very good rate going to go with Excelent rate . Oh I forgot we have breakfast at restaurant in property and of course same thing dirty , dirty and dirty . Never come back again.

The place is falling apart and hasn’t been upgraded in 30 years! Very filthy

Great breakfast and night club, band etc.

It had nice amenities with the pools and restaraunts but I got food poisoning from one of the restaraunts and was sick half my trip.

1st room was dirty and smelled bad 2nd room better but the refrigerator did not work. Will not be staying here again.

Check on was easy took a little longer but went smooth. The room was very clean and smelled good. It was the ocean view which my girls and myself enjoyed the beach and pool view. The staff were very helpful when needed. Balcony was great expect the balcony handle was previously broken so I reported it. It took a few days when I saw a maintenance guy in the elevator with me and I report it to him. I told him it was broken when I checked in but the bottom part of the handle since it was broken had a sharp edge that anyone could have gotten cut. So I’m grateful that he took the time to replace that broken handle with a better and new handle which made it easier to side open and side close the balcony door.

Clean room, amazing location

Annie’s is still Annie’s, and Sandals is still a good time, but the hotel itself is awful and dirty. I guess time gets to us all. :(

We had an absolute amazing condo. They gave us the wrong one. We were supposed to have a two bedroom, but it worked out in the end! It was really nice. Had the two beds, refrigerator, stove, microwave dishwasher in room, washer and dryer not to mention how I had the extra area between the bathroom. Kids could wash their hands and brush their teeth how someone else is using the restroom. The staff were excellent. We really enjoyed using the pools and the lazy river we also got the luxury of having paid entry for the wave park and half off at Grand Prix❤️ has a nice little convenience store downstairs prices aren’t too too high and our balcony was pretty cool

Breakfast was good. Pool area was okay but gets crowded. Music day/ night really keeps you entertained. Beach is really nice. Staff were very helpful an friendly. Room has in issues. Light switch didn’t work. Deck light was out. Room Oder, musty. Bugs. ( we had no food in room) Bathroom baseboards dirty. Outlet by lamp for tv only one working. Old pill found in our sheets. Hope they were changed.

Room was filthy, not as picture shown. Rude staff that wasn’t accommodating at all.

Sliding door wouldn't open and our unit was right by the band so no relaxation until after 11 pm every night

Great beach access Lots of things dirty in rooms, stains, falling apart

Big balcony, pools,plenty of room and lots to do. River City Cafe was great. Having live music great. Near Apache Pier, but get your shrimp bait from Mike's Produce it's s fresh! Problems; tv but we used our devices, bed lumpy and no instructions on what to do with trash/towels
