Sands Ocean Club Resort

Room was filled with roaches.

It was clean. The room was well put together. I loved listening to the band and watching the oven from my room. I loved that everything I needed was right there. I dodnt like the fact that no one made fancy coffees like frappe, if they had coffee no coconut milk was offered. That made it more difficult for me.

We have always liked the area and the accommodation. However this time was poor. We arrived and our room was dirty and BUGS EVERYWHERE. Not clean. Disgusting. It’s like the care has gone. Then we switched rooms, slightly better but the bathtub was stopped up. They came to fix it and the smell of old water and whatever was down there took over the room. It smelled like urine the entire stay. Very disappointing.

The location, the availability of the several pools, the closeness of the beach and the parking were all good The rooms are a bit dated, the beds aren't the most comfortable, the Sands restaurant could offer a mix up on the buffet from day to day.

The view only if get Oceanfront but other than that you looking right at the person across from you Place has ROACHES EVERYWHERE and they moved us to another room and had more ROACHES THAN THE FIRST ROOM.. Not comfortable

Location! The hotel seemed run down and in need of repairs. Had 3 elevators in the main building one was out of service and the other two sounded like they were on their last leg! As far as the room air-conditioning barely worked and while I was sleeping something bit the back of my arms and my ear lob.

Location, the view, the value, the room. The cleanliness

The ac likely had mildew in it Everytime air kicked on it blasted a bad smell throughout the room. I saw roaches several times throughout the building. I had tried to extend my stay with the same room. I checked with two people who assured me I'd keep my room. When I went to check in again to make sure they made me change rooms. I had to hastily pack everything without choice on the last nice day of said vacation before the weather turned. On top of it I had forgot my coffee behind the coffee pot got a new key card to check and the housekeeper already stole or threw it away after I told them what was going on and what room I was switching to. The audacity was appalling. I stayed one more night and cancelled the rest and got the hell out of there. Won't be back.

Love the place the view the bar the restaurant had the best chicken tenders Microwave did not work cabinet hanging down door would not even lock soon as we checked in room was not ready when arrived and mold under pillows covers and weed in the balcony I was kinda surprised with how well the place looked

We liked that every corner had something different to do or see.The night club did cause parking problem at night with no parking near building.

The Lazy River was nice and the outdoor pool. The front desk staff was absolutely horrible to us. We did not get the correct room we booked and when we asked to change and even pay more money the lady laughed at us and rolled her eyes. She saw that we requested a lower floor when checking in like 10 and under and she started laughing and rolled her eyes and said I'll put you on the 17th floor and then began to argue with me why did I book a high-rise if I didn't want to be on the 17th floor. I have stayed here many a times and they do have floors lower than 17. She was making fun of my fear of heights and it was very unprofessional. She did not help us out whatsoever and the room we got was not what we booked. We had nothing in our room except for a small refrigerator and a very small microwave no partial kitchen, now utensils, no plates no cups no nothing. The room was absolutely filthy could not have possibly been cleaned. There were other people's hairs all over the walls and the bathroom door and even on our beds. The comforter on both of our beds were dirty and the bottom sheet had mold all over it. Everything in the room was just dirty and lots of spots of mold everywhere. Absolutely almost ruined our trip.

They had a nice restaurant on the ground floor called River Cafe and that is the only high light of the whole hotel. This place is a DUMP!! Everything was nasty, old and you can tell they did not clean this place good at all. The room I stayed in looked like I walked back into 1970’s.
