    The maid never touched our room and we had to get new towels from the front desk.

    We arrived at the hotel at 2:45pm hoping for early check-in (4:00pm check-in time), however our room was not ready until 4:30pm. While this was a slight annoyance, the rep provided us with a $30 gift voucher to the hotel restaurant for the inconvenience. We arrived at an accessible room, surprisingly. I do use a walking cane; however, I did not request this type of room since most times countertops are low - my husband is 6'3". Nonetheless, we decided to stay given the long travel day. The room definitely needed attention in the bathroom, kitchen area and balcony. The bathroom fixtures were loose, the kitchen had areas of rust on the countertop, and the balcony could use a sweep and wipe down to really enjoy the oceanfront that we paid for. Other hotel features that were disappointing were the parking garage with the smallest sign indicating the check-in level, small pool basically on a garage access level, and the restaurant that was not open, when it should have been, on the day that we intended to use our voucher. Lastly, upon checkout, I asked if I could get a receipt and the guest rep told me that I really didn't need it but that it would be sent to me via email-it was not. Some pluses were the breakfast/sitting areas and beach proximity. Overall, this hotel did not give Marriott quality we expected. We chose this hotel because of the brand name and hoped that we would get service that matched its name, however, this stay was well below our expectations.

    I really enjoyed my stay, It was very clean, and the staff was excellent. The parking was confusing and trying to navigate from parking to the room. After so many times I finally got the hang of it he two levels of parking. Over all I would stay again.

    Just that toiletries were empty when we entered but they filled it and placed within minutes when we called the reception. It was a relaxing stay!

    We called the front desk the next day, and was informed that housekeeping will be dispatched, but didn't specify the time. Housekeeping finally shows up around 5:30pm and our child was eating. We told the housekeeper to give us 30 minutes. Housekeeping never returned... We contacted front desk a couple more times, and both times we were immediately forwarded to the "housekeeping manager" I left a voicemail. No one called me back. I understand the pressure of a high volume hotel, however the front desk at Residence Inn by Marriott Myrtle Beach Oceanfront lack basic customer service skills . The front staff and housekeeping are RUDE and DO NOT CARE. The owner of the hotel really needs to listen to the complaints on line and assess their staff.. All it takes is bad staff to ruin the reputation and brand of a hotel...

    I had to wait an hour past check in time, was comped $30 for the dining/ bar which $30 honestly doesn’t go to far. Seating area in breakfast area could use better seating arrangements, some area way to low to sit and eat. Long wait times for elevators and no service elevator for staff making sharing sometimes uncomfortable.

    The front desk staff was great. We didn’t have our dog with us but it was nice that the hotel was pet friendly. We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and not once did housekeeping clean the room or change the sheets or make the bed. To get clean towels we had to ask at the front desk and was told to put the dirty towels by the ice machine or in the hallway. Not very sanitary. When we inquired about the lack of housekeeping we were told they are not a full service hotel which is unusual for a Marriott especially at over $400 per night. Also, just by being a beach location you can’t help but bring some sand back to your room.

    Felt almost like home, spacious, no carpet which is good for pets The pool is on the shade most of the time. Would have liked it more out in the sun or at least an option

    The area of the hotel wasn’t busy and the beach wasn’t crowded. The hotel is easy to navigate.

    Great location Room had human hair all over the bathroom floor, and the front desk lady was rude each time we called for more towels, etc. They never cleaned the room. I understand it's not a full service hotel, but they are to empty trash and replenish towels... They never did. It was 4 of us. Advice to staff...dont work in hospitality if you are angry all the time, specifically the front desk.

    The breakfast was good. The hotel is on the beach but far down from other main attractions. We left there and moved the kids to Homewood suites which was in the center of everything we wanted to do and see. Plus they were $100 cheaper with excellent breakfast as well as an indoor Waterpark! I was so bummed we waisted money and time at the residence Inn. FYI for families traveling with children. Location was too far down away from main attractions. They have 1 pool, No jacuzzi.

    The staff and the overall location were great! However the room itself which is the most important for me as part of booking a hotel (beside customer service) was not clean. We found multiple pieces of hair in the shower, we let our baby crawl around in the room and shortly realized his socks were BLACK, leading me to believe they don’t mop the rooms. They also didn’t supply extra toilet paper (we only had one roll for the entire stay which thankfully we ended up using up the day we left) I understand that certain things may not be done after each check out to be more efficient and turn Rooms over quickly but things like hair in the shower shouldn’t been found.

    Our room was fantastic exactly what I booked. Beautiful oceanfront room. Continental breakfast was good and different options. Would definitely stay here again! All staff was very nice

    I enjoyed the driftwood bar and grill. The room was decent and clean. I think it would be good if residents did not have to walk so far when checking in. The staff person on 2nd shift offered to help me. I thought him offering was nice.
