Residence Inn by Marriott Myrtle Beach Oceanfront

I am very delighted with the attention of the staff, all very friendly, the location excellent, I will definitely stay with them again they offered me a room on the 14th floor and the view is very nice and what I liked the most is that they allow pets I could take my dog I had a bad experience; I ended up paying double for my stay. I paid through Booking.com with Affirm, and when I arrived at the hotel, they told me my payment wasn't covered and that I had to pay for it myself there because, supposedly, they hadn't paid me for my stay. Affirm was charging me for what I paid through Booking.com, so since they haven't given me a resolution, I had to talk to my bank and take action.

I truly expected to pay the quote I received. It went from $532 I think to $900 and something. I was not prepared for the large increase. Between the hotel and Travelocity you need to be on one accord. We drove 4 hours to get there. My husband couldn’t handle another 4 hours to return. He had a stroke about a year ago and we were celebrating our belated wedding anniversary, belated Mother’s Day and his remarkable recovery, but it didn’t quite go as planned. At night the elevator made noise when it was in use, so it was a little hard to fall asleep. The rooms were great and clean. There was not a lot of handicapped parking. All in all we made it through.

The first two nights I slept horribly due to the firmness of the bed. However; after speaking with the front desk, the bed was replaced within 30 minutes and I slept very peacefully the following two nights. I have absolutely no complaints about this hotel, the staff was nice, the breakfast was excellent with Sandy & Damaris, and the surroundings were very clean and well maintained.

Great place right on the beach! I wasn’t too happy about staying 7 days and our room wasn’t touched once from housekeeping, my boyfriend had to go ask for towels for us to never receive them so had to get them off the housekeeping cart LOL. That was very disappointing to me for paying how much. Towels is a must on the beach!!

Location was good, breakfast was great! They need a hot tub was the only gripe we had They need a hot tub or 2

The room was spacious and view was amazing. Good breakfast but no bread, toast, bagels or muffins. The pillows were too soft and the beds were uncomfortable.

Location, pool was very nice. Room was spacious! Nothing. It was a great stay for myself, husband and dogs.

Excellent breakfast it made me feel good because it was giving back to the community especially how expensive everything is today very helpful and rewarding. I respect and understand people love there pets but there is a time and a place for pets I didn't like the animals being allowed in the eating area I think the animal control needs to improve.

Clean room status: The staff didn't clean the room good. The shower stall drainage was clogged. If the staff cleaned the shower, he or she would have noticed that. The sofa and rug smelled dog urine. The tea and coffee area wasn't replenished. The ice bucket was cracked. It made us questioned if the sheets were changed. The outside patio on the 2nd floor where you eat had live and dead roaches. I didn't see any inside the eating area. I reported the discrepancies to the manager. Our tickets were purchased from Expedia. The staff needs to apply attention to details unless manager has added expectations that can't be met by the staff. The parking fees were removed by management.

Superb

This is a pet friendly hotel. Our room had pet hair in an amount more than you would expect. They immediately sent someone to take care of the problem and they spent about 30 minutes doing an extra cleaning that we felt should have been done when the last guest departed. They also replaced the air filters for the air conditioner and accidentally left the used filters leaning against the wall with dust bunnies dropped in the process on the floor which indicates a lack of final inspection by a housekeeping supervisor to see if the room is in proper condition for the next guest.

Only issue was upon our arrival, the counter in the kitchenette was sticky, vacuum could of been a bit better next to the bed- everything else was good

Everything was nice, but I have been charged $43 for park , it is not acceptable. No park charge everywhere in that area before. It is too much ! I

The breakfast was laking Warmer

Room wasn’t ready by check in time. Pool was not clean.
