Homewood Suites by Hilton Needham Boston

We have stayed here many times now and more times than not, the pool has been closed. We have small kids so not having this activity for our stay is the worst.

The room itself was pretty good. Beds and sheets appeared clean and were comfortable. Pillows were not great. Bathroom floor was not completely clean. Decent-sized red spot on carpet was off-putting. Worst part was the family of rats that greeted us at the door our last night there. Luckily it was our last night and we were on the fourth floor. A pleasant enough stay, but probably wouldn’t stay here again.

On day 2, an adult person washed their depends diaper in a washer. The second washer was sandy and took my quarters. The third washer worked great. I reported the diaper. On night 3, the diaper was still in the overflowing trash and silicone goo was still in the machine. This being said, housekeeping kept the rooms, lobby and breakfast areas sparkling and visit every other day to replenish things. They just left out the laundry room. The pool is currently closed during peak summer season with maybe a sand machine in the room. It’s a shame they can’t get expedited repairs done. We would have loved it. My older boys enjoyed the gym facilities.

The room was large and comfortable. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Everything was clean and worked well. I would certainly stay again at this property. It was close and convenient for what I needed.

Nice spacious rooms, great for families.

When we entered the room there were crumbs on the carpet - not a big deal. The big was the condom wrapper and tissues behind the night stand. Ewww! The front desk clerk did offer to move us or come clean it up. We opted for clean up as it was already getting late. The kitchen although clean had very few utensils - 2 spoons 1 teaspoon and 1 soup spoon. We came down for breakfast 20 minutes before it was ending, and there were no potatoes or eggs ☹️. Lastly the bed was pretty uncomfortable. I usually don’t write poor reviews but this was not a stellar stay.

Pool was closed during our stay, but we wouldn’t have used it this time and notice was given. Highly recommend.

Room smelled like dirty diapers. No one at the front desk to answer my phone call several times. No one at desk when I had to physically go there. Long wait times for someone to show up. overflowing garbage at the exterior side entrance for parking. halls and elevators unkept. Same dirty items all week on the floors. pool was closed all week. night supervisor was rude when approached about the Pool. I was attending class all week, and for what I was charged (double what Sheraton was charging with a pool in use), I wanted to see about having my stay discounted for that reason alone. The response was that the pool closure was identified on their website, (maybe it is now,but it wasnt there when I booked my room) and that I already got a discount when I booked through Expedia (which I didnt do), and I would have to go to them to complain. and that the gym is open. I wasn't asking about the gym! what does that have to do with the use of the pool. He walked away without any satisfaction and left a woman at the desk who had only been there 1 week and she was in shock. Bad review for the site, and the service. I would never use them again in the future. KC

Convenient location Old furniture in the room, especially the pull out couch and the lounge chair, minimal silverware, no sponge for dishes, and bright light on the smoke detectors blinks all night. We’ve stayed at several other Homewood Suites, and this one is much more tired than the others.

The seating options for the breakfast rooms are very uncomfortable. Very few tables with regular chairs, you have to seat in a very low and uncomfortable sofa.

Four years ago we stayed here for the first time when we moved our granddaughter into college. We continued to stay here every time we visited her at Lasell University. This trip was to celebrate her graduation, it was bittersweet because we knew we wouldn’t need to return. Thank you to the wonderful staff who made every visit a wonderful experience.

I like the cleanliness and location. The elevators were very slow, the washing machines had broken down, and the pool was not available to use.
