Site 61 Guesthouse

I was in room 16. 4 bunks. Clean and extra towels in hallway. Laundry and showers are separate and down hall. Coffee and breakfast treats in kitchen. Need code to enter building. If you check in late they leave keys in envelope. Nice backyard porch area for smoking and they have a record player playing nice music. Wish I could have stayed longer. There’s nothing around the immediate neighborhood but it seemed safe. Mid-city is the name.

I really enjoyed staying here. Great privacy and private bathroom which is a plus!

When was nice bathroom was cleaned quite environment Kitchen was stacked. Parking was a little difficult

Horrible Lies small uncomfortable

I loved the location, the property accommodated all my guests, it provided all the cooking utensils I needed. The sheets on some of the beds had stains on them, a whole basket of towels had stains on them, a few of the toilets in the bathrooms were not fully cleaned around the bottom of the toilet, the house itself did not have proper heating so it was very cold...We had to block off the door to go into the kitchen cause it was so cold in the house. One of the bedrooms downstairs vent was closed so no heat was circulating so I had to get a ladder to open the vent so heat could warm up the room. I got sick when I left the property on Sunday due to the fact the property did not have good heating source. I know the frigid weather in New Orleans was not the norm but if the property was not able to heat up in the cold weather then the owners should have not rented to me.

The building is beautiful, there are plenty of bathrooms and showers, and the bed was very comfortable. The road noise and partiers are very loud.

The space was amazing and exceeded expectations.

I booked a private room with a private bathroom. I didn't expect that the private bathroom is joined with the room but I'll have to go through the corridor. The windows are not really isolated so I could here all the noise of traffic. The doors inside the hostel were not really isolated either, so I hoped for a bit more privacy. At least the inside of the hostel was pretty peaceful even for a Saturday night. The place was not specifically dirty but it was not clean either.

For me it was a quiet retreat although New Orleans during Super Bowl can be stressful Room was clean. Bathrooms nice and I love the hot water for long relaxing showers. The staff treated everyone like family and go out of their way to make everyone comfortable A little more refrigerator space although there was sufficient cupboard storage

Great location, lots of ways to get into downtown. The facilities are very good and the staff were exceptional. Overall the communication and check-in process was very easy. The room was slightly dated, and the furniture is looking a bit tired and old. However, it was comfortable.

Clean rooms including bathrooms with hot showers attentive staff large garden and balconies front and back Not enough room in one refrigerator and prefer more cooking capacity but that’s just me. It is a hostel after all and not an apartment like I am used to

I was told I'd have a locker for my suitcase. Got in there they didn't know what the heck to do with me. Didn't know my room didn't know where it was we got that situated I asked to put my suitcase in my locker they said we have no Locker for your suitcase so I got false advertisement. Put my suitcase by my bed went outside to smoke a cigarette went to the kitchen to get water or whatever got up the next morning zip my suitcase up again and manage to get out of there got on the ship opened up my suitcase to get my jean shorts but they weren't there so I got clothing stolen out of my suitcase because they didn't have a locker to put my suitcase in like I was told and October when I made the reservation. Try getting in contact with the manager and the lady I asked that she was and she didn't even know where I was staying what to do ask questions she didn't know I was completely lost I'm finally getting Unwound with a little bit for my experience from site 61 it was definitely not a New Orleans motel like I asked for and paid for it got there and it was nothing at all what I was told. I would appreciate it if someone would contact me that has authority over site 61 Motel.. come to find out it was a site 61 hostel and I thought that hostile number was a French or Mexican name I didn't know what the heck it meant but when I made the reservation if they were going to route for me and have a locker and enjoy my stay and how could I it was h e l l. Please give me a call cuz I would like my clothing that was stolen from out of my suitcase that I was supposed to and was told I would have a locker to put it in.

Was not very clean and I suspect the pictures on the site is from when they first opened. It's dingy and the floors are dirty.
