Davis Motel

Was not happy when I got my key and went to the room. It was just a bedroom door lock and key. One bed had some hair in it and had a few stains on the sheets. Went back to office to get new sheets and she was a bit sarcastic when giving new sheets which she had to go look for in a closet(in a bundle, not folded). The shower had rusty shower curtain holders ( plastic ones are cheaper) and there was mild in the corners of the shower. About a whole tube of caulking used to seal the toilet to the floor. Overall, not a good experience. VERY SURPRISED IT HAD A 9.0 rating. Only reason I booked it. Big mistake.

Older / Retro building. Good, but not great internet. Smaller flat-screen TV. Clean room. Parking was adequate.

Clean basic room. Nice check in person. Tiny shampoo and soap. Tiny room. Parking lot several pots holes.

The cost Inaccurate check-in times, the state of the air conditioner, unclean microwave , insane potholes, dirty mini fridge, size of the shower, and the location

I checked in late but the woman at tbe desk was very friendly and helpful, and the "welcome bag" with bottled water and snacks much appreciated. The room was dated, but very clean.

I was not going to write a review, but I think in this case it needs to be written, I booked this place because it got a 8.6 , not sure how this is even possible for an 8.6 rating apparently these people have never stayed in a motel in their life, this has been family run for about 50 years but they need to really get their property together ,get the people that are living there to move along, this place is surrounded by three truck stops the parking lot is dingy dark scary no lighting in the back of the property there's a broken down cars back of the woods, I was alone traveling by myself I was so scared the first night and I booked five nights ,that I did not return, I took my stuff and left, I came back the day after and checked out the girl was nice she gave me $100 refund, out of the $350 because I told her I did not feel safe at all and she says oh yeah the police monitor the parking lot because they're looking for people with warrants that is not a good reputation for a motel, I do have to say the staff was very nice and I know the owners are trying to keep the motel in business, but they really need to reevaluate the situation and make it more safe and accommodating for solo travelers, redo the parking lot get some better lighting and some security and fix the other side of the hotel so it doesn't like you're staying in a back alley,it was pretty scary, I never like to say bad things about places but I would have to say this place is one of the worst I've stayed in

It’s not fussy or fancy, but it’s CLEAN and quiet. It’s a vintage motel right off the highway with gas stations and fast food in walking distance, and Walmart 15 minutes away. We arrived at midnight, and felt safe and welcomed there. It smelled clean when you walked into the room. Bed was firm and the pillow was huge. AC worked perfectly. No coffee in the room, but it’s in the office 24 hours a day, hot and delicious. Clean microwave and mini fridge; no iron or hair dryer though (didn’t need those so it didn’t matter to us). The floors, bathroom, and bedclothes were clean. Laundry room onsite; you can buy detergent in the office. I didn't use the laundry, but I did peek in. It was $4 (I think) to wash; not sure how much to dry. Worth it for the convenience of having it onsite. Staff was nice, friendly, and helpful in answering questions. I would definitely stay there again.

This is a great place to stay one of the better places I've been at as far as motels go they have free coffee 24/7 in the office free Wi-Fi free cable everything in the room is useful and as I expected housekeeping was very prompt and discreet one thing I noticed that I really appreciate it was I took off the comforter that was provided and was using my own blanket and when I came back from work my blanket was now made on the bed and I just thought that that was really cool the staff is very friendly and personable and the price is beyond reasonable

I was pleasantly surprised how great of a stay this was. When I checked in the gentleman behind the counter was nice and very helpful. I also enjoyed the little gift bag that I got with my stay. My room was upstairs and it looked like it had been updated and was really nice and clean. It had a homey feel and I appreciated that since I was so far from home. The bed was comfortable and the water was always hot. Inside the office was nice the parking lot was a little bit of a mess from other guests at the property. Really the only con from this trip was the parking lot. I ended up having to park at the opposite end of where my room was and walking that far at night made me a little uncomfortable since I was by myself. But overall this was an excellent stay and will absolutely stay again.

Piolt ,Love's and Speedway

Affordable and clean.

Staff is friendly and location good. Convenient to park, all required available. Wi-Fi works good. Since I stayed only for a night, it was fine for me. Bad smell in the room. Room itself is quite worn. During my stay only cold water was in the shower. AC was quite noisy so I had to shut it down.

We loved that while outside you could see things were busy due to the surrounding truck stops but you would never know when you enter your room. Everything is extremely sound proof and the staff are very friendly. This was our second stay at the Davis Motel and we were very fortunate to be able to do so. We booked last minute and somehow made the cut. The parking lot showed all the rooms were fully booked, but you would never know as everyone was respectful and kept to themselves. We stayed 3 nights and it was in the perfect location for everything we planned to do. We will be back again and would recommend. You cannot beat the price especially because you’re able to feel safe and relaxed during you’re clean stay. We enjoyed everything about our stay.

Great family run motel, reminded me of the motor lodges that were around years ago. Clean, comfortable, basic room!

Murray is awesome as sin!! Maaan, we went on a special night cause didn’t think we’d be able to go another night …. Which LUCKILY WE CAN NOW… He gave us the best room possible, treated us with royalty. Just amazing This place is a hidden gem And is more than just a “motel” - it has character Now, if only it had a cool ghost story to it ???‍♀️??? Thank you, Murray I did not like that the ocean is not outside and I can’t swim with dolphins, legally. However, Ohio doesn’t have an ocean so , I guess I can look past this aspect. ?
