The bones of the house were cute. The proximity to downtown is nice. There was a huge mature sycamore in the middle of the drive. The ac in the room was nice. The vibes were off. The plants were unwatered, dying. The air was stale. The stairwell had debris along the runner. The house seemed silent, empty, in a vacant sort of way. Keys were on the table, but not the keys for my room. I was led to my room with no keys. Gaggles of barefoot kids ran around the ground floor, outside. The mattress was yellowed and stained. The baseboards were thick with dust. The fixtures in the bathroom were oxidizing. The air was neither clean nor dirty. Stains were on the carpet. Underneath the sink was dirty and unorganized. The whole vibe was off. Clean enough but something felt wrong. I opted to leave rather than stay even though I paid $140 for the room. When I asked if a refund could be possible and pointed out my grievances, I was told about the 0% refund policy and that my concerns were unreasonable. I said that my expection as guided by the photos online were not met by the experience of being in the room. I was told it's not for everybody. I said that I would have to leave a "bad review" to tell of my experience. I was told I could possibly get a 20% refund, but only if I didn't leave a bad review. I don't feel good about the whole thing, but there's my tale. I can't get my money back, but maybe I can prevent someone else from having similar losses. Caveat emptor.

We didn’t even stay in the room, it was so filthy. Further, we did not know what room we were in and could not reach an employee. The front door was unlocked and keys left by the front door, so not very secure. We ended up entering a room that was already occupied. I can’t believe they charged $140. We quickly left and found another hotel.

Lack of proper air conditioning. The unit in our room was too small for the lack of insulation and room size

The location is great. It’s right in the middle of Midtown and easy to get to everything. The room itself was very bright overnight. There are no curtains on the windows, the detergent used on the bedding was so strong. I had to cover my pillows with my clothes. The carpet is pretty filthy. And it’s right by the back door that you can hear people opening and closing all night long.

The bed was comfortable, the jacuzzi was big enough for two. bubble bath and step stool provided for tub. AC and heat worked well. Very quaint, loved the house and wrap around porch. Cute signs on doors for each room. Breakfast was not included in the Bed & Breakfast with booking. Did not know that or I wouldn't have booked there. Never met or heard from staff. No hair dryer in room. The shower was barely big enough for 1 person. The chairs in the room seemed to be for looks only, only sat bags in them, did not sit down.

The house is gorgeous! And it was very easy to get to. The room did not appear to be clean. The air conditioner was not working properly.

The location was great for me I didn't see a single soul the whole time . No breakfast service as advertised . No staff available . Roaches in the room . Sheets smelled weird
-
could've been cleaner, better maintained, easier to get around

Great location and very attractive style and decor. Room was dusty. Trash in the trash can. Liquid soap was diluted in “used containers with labels obviously torn. The water pressure in the hot tub was poor (45 minutes to fill tub to a level just below the jets). The breakfast consisted of two very small very hard pastries which we left in the container. Cold cereal was present with only one spoon available (which was stained and unappetizing). The king size bed was so soft that we couldn’t shift our positions without enormous effort. The only ice available was a few cubes left in an ice tray inside the freezer portion of the refrigerator which needed to be defrosted. There was only one washcloth (2 of us). No cups in the room to use for oral hygiene. We were unable to watch the television because we weren’t given the digital code to view the local channels. When we tried to contact the manager to get the code, we got their standard voicemail. When we returned from supper, the front door would unlock, but the thumb handle would not work. We heard a scratching sound in the window behind the bed. Thinking it was a tree branch blowing in the wind, we discovered a bird trying to get out. We herded it into the hallway and opened the door to let it out.
