Sleep Inn Orangeburg

Just an overnight stop while traveling.

•What I did not like was bathroom wooden sliding door did have a handle you could use to slide the door. It took a lot of energy to try and close the door. •The sink had poor drainage •The shower floor was very slippery •The room had nats, mosquitoes and roaches. If the hotel could fix these it would be good.

Breakfast was pretty good We couldn't get in our room until close to 4pm. If we didn't go upstairs ourselves to see if the room was ready who knows how long we would have waited. In the shower the mat on the shower floor was all ripped up. We didn't even shower there. Checking out in the morning there was a gentleman sitting down on his phone and didn't even acknowledge I was there. The whole staff was black and I am not prejudice. The TV in the breakfast area only showed black shows. No news channel like all the rest of the hotels. Most of the staff was friendly but the few that weren't made us feel uncomfortable. Needless to stay we will not stay there again. When we first arrived one of staff who looked like he was off the street with his big head phones on and got pissed when I told him I'll handle it.

The staff was friendly and the facility was nice and clean. The parking in the evening wasn't good. I had to park next door and walk across the parking lot to get to the main entrance. Also, I ended up paying more than Booking . com quoted me. I ended up getting two double beds instead of the king bed as requested.

Did not eat anything. Room not clean when entered. Had to tell front desk to clean it.

The receptionist Kee, was very friendly and knowledgeable. Respectful and patience. Very great customer service. Maintenance around the pool area could have been better, too many cats and kittens hanging around.

Marquia my reservation clerk was professional and welcomed me with a grand smile and even suggested great attractions during my stay. My first room had some issues in the bathroom. Maintenance wasn't able to resolve the problem immediately, so he was happy to help me move my personal belongings to another room on the same floor. The same desk clerk (Marquia) was happy to oblige. The service was excellent the entire time. I think hotel owners should be mindful of mildew, moisture, and musky/smoky smells that develop into very pungent odors. This building could use a total professional power wash.

Staff were pleasant. Breakfast was good. Our hallway smelled veey bad. People hanging around building were sketchy.

The room rate. A better guide for the tv.

The microwave was a little rickety. And we found the TV to challenging to find anything we wanted to watch. The breakfast was typical of a continental breakfast.

Needs lighting over the sink so I can apply makeup and comb hair. Booking.com charged me 3 times for the room after they assisted me with the booking then charged 220 dollars to cancel 2 of the bookings. I paid over 500 dollars totaled to Booking. Com for a 2 night stay.. I will never use them again and will share my experience

Staff No

Staff were very good. The beds were comfortable. We were in room 111, you could only get very hot water until morning. The toilet was not fastened properly. It rocked and moved around. The refrigerator was unstable.⁶

First... website pics are NOT recent. The pool area wasn't kept looking good. We booked because it had a pool but would not get in it. Feral kittens overtook the front entrance to poolside. Cat pee everywhere! Not a pleasant smell. Our bed had clean linens but towels were dingy. Curtains were dirty. Elevator and hallway was very dirty. They served breakfast and there was 5 employees eating off the bar and taking seats that should be for the guests trying to have breakfast and getting on the road. Breakfast area employee did not have a hairnet on or gloves. Will not stay again. There are several nicer hotels within a block of this one so it's still a good stopping point going South to North.

Always a great stay when we come to visit

It’s close to the highway. Up all night to the sounds of other guests making noise in the hall, and in the rooms around us. Stains on the bedsheets and the room didn’t appear to be cleaned. There was trash on the floors and under the desk from previous guests. Found a live bug crawling on the ceiling the next morning.

I liked the location and price. Staff very good. Bed was comfortable and clean. The age of the hotel. Need a lot of work. Smelly carpeting in room and hallways. Even if you clean the rooms it looks dingy. Elevator had trim/molding that stuck out so far I had to push it in.

If you're just looking to sleep, which I was. It has a bed. Waffle House next parking lot over, that's a plus.

Ideal location for one night stay. Staff was very nice. Not the cleanest and breakfast was meager and area not kept up well.
