their golf cart/shuttle service was awesome!!! no worries about walking up all the hills… a DJ was playing at the adult pool in the afternoon and the place was hopping! had so much fun on a girls trip!
-
The room was clean and loved the pool!
-
Breakfast The room smelled like mold. Air conditioner did not cool the room

This is a decent hotel. We stayed for the weekend. The location on the water is great. The amount of activities are also great, but the rooms and facilities were both outdated.
-
Well worth the price. Had helpful staff our swim up bartenders were excellent, our waiter was great. Breakfast buffet hit the spot after 12 hours of debauchery. Food at landshark was great definitely be back
-
That it was right on the lake Not many activities had no actual beach to get in the water, pools too small, the covered parking is not secure at all. Building and rooms are outdated. Too expensive for what it actually has

The pools were nice but if you wanted pool service it was a little slow. The weekend was definitely the busiest. All of the amenities are way over priced! 1 game of bowling $12 per person, the putt putt was $10 per person but the course needs redone. The carpet was bubbled and coming up. The arcade is way over priced and if you want to just watch your kids in the indoor water park (you're not actively participating in any swimming) you have to pay to do that. We decided to rent a boat at a different marina because there was a substantial price difference. The go carts are nice for rides back up the hill from the pool/restaurants. Overall, the price you pay for what you actually get is not worth it. It was our first time at Lake of the Ozarks. We'll definitely be back but not to Margaritaville.

Great stay. Great staff

Check in was fast and easy! I also requested an early check in and rooms that were close to each other which they also accommodated me on. Resort is quite large. Loved everything about but two things and they won’t keep me from going back. We stayed at the Edgewater building across from the lobby it has a parking garage under it but it was full most of the time. I had to park under the main lobby and take a few elevators to get to my room. Second was the rides to the pool. They have golf carts that pick you up and take you there. We had a number we would text to ask for a ride but often we were waiting aprox 15-20 minutes for a golf cart to show up. The pools are down quite a long hill and walking to them isn’t horrible but walking back up is! All in all it’s a great place!!

Exceptional

The location was fine. I liked the wristband keys to the rooms. That was very convenient. When the power went out there were no safety procedures. No emergency lights, no back up generators, no running water, no communication from the staff. After 36 hours of no electricity, stinky toilets, no AC in 110° heat, and pitch black hallways, stairways, and rooms we finally checked out early.

I think staff went out of their way, from restaurant to front desk. Maybe the downstairs room, could have a little sink, dish towel . Otherwise great location on the lake. We would do it again.

Bad

The room was overall clean, however the entrance doors were rather dirty with lots of dead bugs. The stairs to the rooms are very narrow to carry your bags up them. The property pool could use some attention and a good cleaning.

We greatly appreciated the helpful staff! They sent text messages to check on us and when our first room was not going to work due to mobility issues, they quickly and kindly helped us move. This is a very challenging property for anyone with mobility limitations. It can be done, but call ahead to get more info on options. The amenities and activities are great to have, but everything seems to have an extra cost so budget for extra costs.

The property itself is so beautiful. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is staying at the rooms that are separate from the hotel near the water. They put us in one of those rooms at first and it was so hot because the air conditioning only works when you are in your room and moving. So if you are out enjoying the pool or anything else they offer you would come back to a hot room and it was 100 degrees on a couple days were we there so that was a no go for us. However I called the front desk and they moved us to the main hotel right away and our stay was perfect after that! Can’t wait to go back next year!
