Property showing its age but a very accommodating staff and good location.

manager money for doing nothing and lying to customers. Horrible service and management. Regarding the property, a broken Pringle on the baseboard of my unit door was how we remembered which room was ours and all the doors have chunks ripped out like the doors have been battered. Rooms need handiwork

Margaritaville is very nostalgic for me since I have been visiting since I was a kid and it was Tan-Tar-A. It is a massive resort set on many hills. Much of the resort has been remodeled, but there are still rooms in the main building that need a lot of work. Our first room in the main building was musty, hot, and dirty. We were very disappointed. However, I texted the host our issues and they immediately moved us to a different building with a more updated room, offered us food and drink vouchers, and had a maintenance crew in our old room within an hour. It was remedied very quickly, so their response totally redeemed our stay! You cannot beat their amenities. They have one of the best outdoor pools at LOTO with an amazing view of the lake. They also have a smaller pool with a kiddie area that looked very nice. They have a very well maintained indoor pool with an excellent hot tub that my kids and I enjoyed. The arcade and bowling is also very new and clean and we really enjoyed it! There is also plenty of restaurant options and the resort is in a convenient location to other spots. Overall, it is an aging property that is well-maintained (we constantly saw people cleaning) and has been mostly refreshed/remodeled. However, there are rooms and areas that still need work. With the right room, this is an excellent resort with tons to do!

    Exceptional

The staff was amazing! I did not like that there was no microwave. There are so many places to eat, I hate to have had to throw food away because I couldn't get to other building to heat my food because of a leg injury. I found out night 2 you could rent one for $20/nt

The coffee shop doesn't open until 7 and the pools do not open until 10 and 11. Other that that it was great.

The place is older, but kept up fairly well. Our place the ice machine didn’t work. The staff were very good to accommodate requests for extra towels, coffee, and such. We had a half spa day which was excellent, ate at windmarker….so good! Coffee shop was great!

There was no milk in any of the restaurants which I found inconvenient as we were traveling with a child

The amenities were awesome. The exterior of some of the buildings were in need of some paint and TLC. The rooms were nice.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Very pretty location and lots to do and if you want to just chill you can do that too. Really enjoyed the golf course too. There were a lot of cobwebs on the deck area. There were a lot of dust bunnies around the air conditioner unit in the room and it looked like possible mold on the unit vents. There were large dust bunnies at the top of the sliding glass door.

Didn't get to do much. We had too many kids to do anything. I stayed in the room a lot. Customer service was excellent Pools extremely cold. Indoor pool was awful. Didn't enjoy at all. Water park way too expensive even just to go watch. I stayed in room.
