We booked this reservation thru Expedia. We then called Lakeside Travelodge to notify them we had one small dog. We also requested a first floor room. The Travelodge staff I spoke with on that day was very cold and impersonal.She told me they could not honor any requests because we booked thru a third party. So I had to call Expedia to submit a request to Travelodge. I couldn't understand why this was necessary.

Check in person was nice. Restaurant was good. Casino was fun. Room looked clean. Unfortunately, dozens of bed bug bites in the morning. Management was emailed along with photos of bites. I was told that room would be checked by professionals and she would get back to me. It has been a week and nothing. It appears to be positive with the lack of response. Not worth the discomfort!

During the week restaurant needs to stay open pass 9pm.

Room had dried up food from prior guests on the floor by the nightstand. Room keys only worked once then wouldn’t work again. Stayed two nights and had to change keys five times! Pool area was dirty and looked like it hadn’t been maintained very well. Hotel itself is outdated and worn. Wallpaper is coming off the wall. Lamps in the room didn’t work. All in all it was a horrible stay. Beds are very lumpy and old. Asked for a room close to front entrance as one person in staying party has mobility and heart issue. Was given 2nd floor last room at the end of the hallway! Most frustrating stay at hotel EVER! Will not stay again.

The casino had a lot of older machines. Smoking the entire area, unless we missed the non smoking area.

The hotel and amenities were great, just the other people slamming doors and yelling in the hallway at 4 am were not. Unavoidable in a public setting, just not thick enough walls or doors.

Room was needing some maintenance, nosy because of casino. Can hear neighbors through walls and floors. No real amenities.

The restaurant food was TV dinner level but a great bar tender.

Everything was wonderful at this location; however, we were put in a smoking room and my husband is allergic to smoke. Thankfully it wasn’t bad smelling like some we have been in. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again if we’re traveling in the area
