Quality Inn Ottawa near Starved Rock State Park

Bed was comfortable enough. NO Elevator. Found hair on bathroom floor (not mine); made me leary of the carpet in the room. Bedspread had a decent sized stain. Breakfast was carbs (bread, bagels, grain cereals, and yogurt).

No maid service, bugs, no towels, dirty sheets. Do NOT take your shoes off floors are filthy. I have nothing nice about this property. Our sink and toilets were clogged the whole time

The breakfast was great , staff was helpful ,and the pool was maintained.

The room was adequate. The sink drain was very slow, the bathroom door stuck, you had to use force to open it. Bathroom fan did not work.

The room was barely ok. There was a broken towel rack in the bathroom, and when I opened one of the dresser drawers the face of it fell off. (Room 214). The beds were good as was the air conditioner, and the room was quiet. Overall, an ok budget place to stay. But it needs some work.

Sheer curtain was shredded, but good staff, quiet.

The staff was very helpful however they could put more than two towels.

Our room stunk like mildew and I have been sick the whole next day, I checked out at 10:30 because the itinerary said 11am was check out and the cleaning lady was trying to tell me I had to pay her 50 dollars for some reason and I couldn't understand her

location is excellent. staff is good. check in was good. parking a is close and good room smelled of smoke and was definitely not cleaned well or often.

Breakfast attendant went out of his way to be friendly.

Downstairs was nice Room had water bottle, tags from previous guest clothes, and bed was off the stand and had to be fixed.

Room was clean. Electrical outlet that refrigerator was plugged into didn’t work. Took a while to figure that out. Well after midnight when fridge started cooling and I had cold food that needed to stay cold. Room phone didn’t work but it was left in room and disconnected when I arrived. I told mgr on dry. No be seemed to care. 2 story building and no elevator. No AC on in hallways so it was kinda warm and yucky. Breakfast was terrible. Waffles, bagels, bread to toast. No individual cream cheese pkts. Only a tub for you to scoop out what you want for yourself. OJ machine broke, no milk left. All in all, not a good experience. Another older couple was walking around complaining because they couldn’t find an Employee, apparently their room key wouldn’t work

The staff made this property! It’s “budget” so you have to expect that it’s older and a little run down, but the staff were phenomenal! Our first night we came in late after a long day of travel, he really took good care of us, treating us special. It was the best service we had all day long. Every day was a repeat. Little kindnesses that made us feel valued. It’s rare to get that level of care.

The two story hotel does NOT have an elevator, so if stairs are an issue for you, request a 1st floor room. Breakfast is included, and it's standard fare for a budget motel. I recommend the place, and will stay here again!
