Hampton Inn & Suites Palestine

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Didn’t have any noise disturbances, everything was great. Parking is a little tight. I drive a truck and the spaces are so close and small, the only issue. Everything else was nice.

I found this all out unfortunately after I was awoken at 5:30 in the morning by the sound of dog wailing and howling in the room/wall next to my bed. When I asked at the front desk why I wasn't told that I might be next a room with dogs or given the option to NOT be next to a room with dogs, I got a indifferent response - as if it was my responsibility to make sure my room was not next to one with pets. I cannot recommend this particular hotel to anyone. Pets are have a higher value than humans because they can make an extra $75 pet fee.

Everything from the moment we walked in until check-out was perfect!

I messaged the hotel about the pool. Got no feedback. On arrival we were told the pool was filled in and is now a room for meetings! We wanted to swim in the advertised pool. The Hampton needs to update their description of the property to delete the availability of a pool. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had to call to have a bulb in the bathroom replaced and that was done immediately. The shower gel was almost empty but we had just enough for the 4 days we were there. There was a missing towel holder at the sink and there is no place/hook to hang the big towels. Bathroom issues were not that inconvenient, we were ok with the minor issues. The breakfasts were very good. Nice assortment of breakfast food and drinks. The host at the desk was pleasant and the cleaning staff was friendly. Parking was good for cars and trucks but I didn't see that an RV or large vehicle would have any place to park. Easy to find and close to whatever you need to go visit. My only reason for my star score is the pool that wasn't there and that my message to the property prior to arrival was not answered.

The Palestine, TX location was a great representation of that expectation. The grounds were decently kept, the common areas appeared well-cleaned, the room we were given was excellent, and the staff we spoke with on 2 occasions were very friendly and helpful. I was mildly surprised there was no carpet in out room, but overall it was very comfortable. It is located not far from downtown and near gas stations and restaurants, chain and local, so fairly convenient. I am also very glad they are still pet-friendly, although I think their $75 fee is a bit high. It was a mild disappointment that there was no longer a pool. In the middle of Texas, even in mid-Spring, temperatures climb quickly and often. A pool on premises would have been an excellent respite from the heat of the day. I hope their new ballroom serves them well. Although we do not expect to be visiting the area again, I will definitely look to stay here, if possible.

From the moment we checked in, we had an amazing stay. Every person we encountered at the front desk were so friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. The room was spacious and clean. We are already planning another trip to Palestine in a few months and will definitely be staying here again.

The prettiest Hampton I have ever stayed in! Loved the updated colors, new flooring, elimination of carpet, and a walk in shower...usually only in the high end resorts!

Breakfast was great, but very disappointed that there was no Pool. On the amenities online it states that you have a Pool, we would have stayed somewhere else if we had known about the pool. that's the whole point if staying at a nice Hotel is pool access . Stupid to fill it up and make a Ballroom out of the space.......

Was nice and clean! Also had a nice breakfast.

Great Stay

Our stay at hampton was great. The employees named Lanetia was very cheerful and helpful in helping to accommodate us during our stay

The rooms were large, and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful

Room was clean but the parking lot and entry was littered. I know it was a busy weekend and some people don’t care. We saw trash, cups, cans and a baby diaper on the way to our car one day. Someone should be concerned with the outside as well as the inside. Also, we noticed bugs in the bathroom lights.

Just a quick one night stay. Not bad but oool said closed permanently

I should have asked the clerk to taste it but just wanted to check out and leave. We would not stay here again.

The property sits a good ways off the road and they have no highway signage. Was difficult to find at first.
