Shadow Mountain Resort

I wouldn’t consider this a resort. It felt more like an airbnb. WiFi is good for the room and once you exit your room it’s gone. Reception and hotnspot was not available unless in the room. The master bedroom tv did not work. I have an autistic child and the ability to not use WiFi, hotspot or data in the pool area was very troublesome. So much that I ended up having to leave the next day. Any autism parent knows how dependable technology can be for a child on the spectrum. Also, the main pool was murky and not cleaned.

The Unit was spacious and elegant i just wish my unit had a bathtub instead of a shower but other that that everything was Great. The shower i like to take bath so I would likeva unit with a bathtub on my next visit.

We’ve been coming to Shadow Mountain for over 9 years and love it every time. The villas are clean, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped with kitchenware. The beds are comfortable, the amenities are clean and well maintained, and the customer service is always outstanding. It’s a wonderful place to stay, and we highly recommend it.

I was there with my sister, and we were very happy staying at this property. The room was clean and comfortable will stay again roomy and convenient with kitchen and all the amenities. As for staff front desk clerks were nice we really didn't need anything to get to know them how helpful they are but they were nice to sign us in and give us the keys. As for bar we didn't see any activities in that area it was closed all the time we were there. The pool has duck poop we didn't get in.

Could use a better bed. Everything else was great.

I have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. The pool is amazing and unique and each property I have stayed in has been clean and never had any issues. Parking is easy and safe in location is ideal.

Great location close to El Paseo. Much quieter than any of the other larger resorts. Room a little dated but spotless and well appointed with kitchenwares. Loved the little patio area and easy pool access. If you play tennis or pickleball there are a ton of courts and even a little pro shop. Only downside was that the bar/cafe were closed for renovations and this was not made clear on booking or checking in. Note that most of the rooms are private owned. There is no room or maid service.

The unit was perfect for a weekend getaway. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. If staying in Palm Desert, I highly suggest this location compared to the other big name resorts. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, there are pickleball courts, tennis courts and a golf course. The highlight of my trip is always the giant figure 8 swimming pool. 10/10 recommend this resort!

Staff was attentive and accommodating

The room we had, had broken blinds, old apples, ac wasn’t working well and it was loud, no body soap and shower was dirty. The shower floor had peeling rubber, knob was hard to pull to turn in, water ran only warm. From pictures online I thought it was great! But once there, it was awful! Best Western was cleaner. Never again.
