Desert Hills - 21 and Over - A Town & Desert Boutique Hotel

The rooms are really clean, very comfortable and we love the mid century decor. It’s seriously one of the most comfortable beds we’ve slept in at any of the hotels in the desert. There is a good size fridge for us to bring drinks and snacks and they stock the rooms with silverware, plates, cups, coffee and snacks. A very nice touch! Only complaint is that we weren’t notified that the jacuzzi was under construction. Not that big of a deal but my husband was looking forward to soaking in it in the evening and early morning.

While I understand the outage was outside the hotel’s control, we were without A/C and refrigeration for over 12 hours, making it difficult to enjoy the property or its amenities. We spent most of the day away from the hotel, and the ice we requested wasn’t delivered until around 4 p.m.—just as the power came back on. The outage wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but the response was disappointing. Communication was limited, the hotel seemed understaffed, and no accommodation or goodwill gesture was offered despite the significant disruption to our stay. I would have appreciated a partial refund or resort credit given the circumstances.

Great location, very quiet and peaceful. We also loved all the thoughtful snacks and drinks provided! such a lovely touch. NA

Location was walking distance to downtown. Facility is worn and tired. Stayed here previously and it was in better condition. New ownership has bought up a handful of PS boutique hotels and is not putting any money into them. Patio furniture is a joke as they are worn and torn. Hot tub has been under repair for the past 2 years. Pool is in need of a good cleaning and the list goes on and on. Come on guys lower the rates if your not going to improve your properties. Remember there are many other options if you don't step up!

Grounds were very well maintained. Mountain backdrop is stunning. Cute mid-century modern room. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, museum, parks. Very quiet and relaxed vibe. The hotel guests and staff were all very friendly. A little dated, but adds some charm to the retro-vintage motif. Spa has been out of order since 2024.

Close to everything, great large kitchenette, cozy pool with lily pads, private table/chair set, responsive staff! WE LOVE DESERT HILLS!! All good!!

Everything was 10/10. Private, clean but what really stood out to me was the customer service. The staff was amazing and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Can’t wait to book again next year.

Awesome, mid-century modern updated kitchen. Large room. Bedding and linens could use an upgrade.

Retro style, pool and location Whirlpool out of service

Pool was perfect! Warm & clean. Neri the housekeeper was friendly & efficient. I liked that we only had Neri. Brian quickly took care of our only issue. Great location! Peaceful & beautiful small property. Expect a 60s vibe & decor.

Staff is very responsive, great to work with. Location is walkable to restaurants/museums/trails etc! Location cannot be beat! Ample on site parking. Very spacious one bedroom apartment. Great extras - snacks, drinks, coffee pods. Furnishings are a bit tired.

The location is excellent. Walking distance to downtown Palm Springs. We slept very well in the king size bed. Some people may not be able to fit through the shower door ha ha. I guess people were slimmer back in the day; however we were fine.

Peace and quiet, very mid-century style. Comfortable bed and linens & location is ideal for walking to town. I only wished we were told that the Jacuzzi was closed and under construction. The Chase lounges were comfortable if you had one of them with a cushion as not all the Chase lounges have cushions, therefore not too comfortable if you did not have one.

This hotel is a hidden gem! Clean, comfortable and quiet. The view of the mountains is outstanding. Communication from the owners was excellent. We loved watching the birds at the fountain. Very easy parking and access to downtown.

The early check in was nice, staff was friendly, clean room and property, nice vibe overall, great location. The hot tub was under construction and not available.

Room, location, and staff were lovely. We were disappointed that the hot tub was under construction. Also, a fire pit would be a nice addition. We recommend Desert Hills overall.
