Motel 6 Palm Springs, CA - Downtown

The place is a bit beat up. They charge for parking now as well. It’s in a good location, the middle of town. It’s not my favorite ,but it’s a go to spot for me when in town.

Avoid this motel 6 at all cost. The place has bed bug's and roaches. I will never stay at this motel. 6 again. The staff is beyond rude. They treat you like you’re a hassle for them if you ask them anything. Turkey the worst motel experience I’ve ever had. I had bed bug bites all up my neck and chest. It was disgusting. This place should shut down. The other motel 6 are way better. The mattress should be burned.

The room was not clean and smelled of Tabasco smoke. Curtains were not clean. The property was not in good condition and needs security desperately.

For this reservation, I stayed an entire week as I am someone that not only works remotely & attends school online, but I am also on a trip of relocation. With that said, I felt like I had one of the most perfect room types and locations within the hotel complex for such the stay. It was perfect for my situation. Room was spacious, pretty clean, housekeeping made their rounds around the same time daily and my room was the premium quadruple which means it came with not only 2 full sized beds, but also a microwave and a fridge- which is someone like me who is staying for as long as I ended up and did, worked perfectly! This was my second time vising this hotel but my first time staying this long and I must say that it is a perfect place in relation to the deals these rooms go far being in downtown of thee, palm springs. didn't like occasional noise from the music of the cars passing by with loud bass-filled music but that's a given when you are facing a busy street - with headphones or turning my tv up - that pretty much helps eliminate a bit of that & then the only other thing I could say was the residents above me having a service dog (moved around a lot) - had to take some getting used to. lol.

My room was not cleaned properly. There was a stain on the outside of the toilet that looked like either blood or poop. One of the towels had makeup on it. There were also a couple termite swarmers that I killed. I didn’t have a chance to inspect the room before I left to the hospital and by the time I got back to go to sleep, it was very late and I was exhausted, if not I would have requested a different room. Not a pleasant experience overall.

It’s close to the Downtown and Arena District very convenient to walk to almost anywhere you need to go location wise. It’s definitely preferable. I have stayed here before unfortunately the room that I got assigned this time seemed like the AC was not fixed or was having issues. It wouldn’t get colder than 78° so the room was always just room temperature but it’s better than that 100+ degrees it was outside. Room 121 I would’ve requested a new room, but as I was mostly out and about with most of my friends, I typically just use the room to sleep. The AC condenser that’s above the sink area in the bathroom also was leaking water. I’m assuming this was the issue and why the room would not get colder.

I stayed here with my girl friends for the weekend. It was easy to book, easy to check in.

The lady at the front desk gave me attitude and will not let you check in if the second person on the reservation does not have a ID even though they're the ones not paying for it. I paid extra forger, refrigerator and microwave in my room. In the microwave did not even work when I called down to the front desk, they said they couldn't help me until tomorrow. Because the mainland's person left for the day. The next day came finally got the microwave and the air conditioner stopped working and it's 110 degrees outside that come to take a look and I have to move to a new room was not happy with this stay.
