the best getaway

I always enjoy my stay! Have gone solo and with friends. Staff is all wonderful, and being able to use the amenities next door makes it even better.

We did not have hot water in our bathroom sink the entire stay! Very disappointing.

It was so quiet and peaceful. The staff was very helpful and the room was a great size!

The rooms we're very hot no air

The room was very spacious. The coffee machine did not work. The grounds were ok. The A/C worked great. The hotel was near downtown and we walked there a couple of times.

We also met the nicest people at the pool. The pool is a little small for a hotel and it would be nice if there was a shelf or some kind of seating in the pool, but regardless we enjoyed every moment. We brought our dogs and they brought us dog beds and bowls and there was a fan in the closet that my big dog really enjoyed! The dogs loved to stroll around the grounds there and were very welcomed! We also took them by the pool for a little bit and they were very happy!!:) The only reason I didn’t give the hotel all five star ratings was because the bathroom looked clean but smelled funky. And there were things that needed to be repaired around the hotel. We will definitely be back again because there was so much that was good about the hotel and so few bad things. Also the sister property next door has additional pools that we didn’t visit because we didn’t want to be away from the dogs.

I absolutely loved this hotel! The room was amazing, the pool was fun (a little low energy) but still fun, Gerome was absolutely AMAZING. He was the best server I have ever had at the pool, at breakfast, and everything in between. He is EXCELLENT. Josef made the check in so easy and great. The bar was a lot of fun — great piano players, good drinks and lovely environment. I can’t wait to go back.

Pool area is not well maintained. Water surface had a sheen of sunscreen and debris. Bottom of pool needed vacuuming. Trash(plastic cups, ice buckets, food plates) left around pool was not removed until dawn. No visible means of ordering poolside, is there ever a service person out there? Nevertheless, appreciated that its adults only and the groups of party girls seem to bypass this place.

The property is located away from the downtown crowds and noise but close enough to walk to the main section of the downtown area. The Ingleside Inn has history and style reminiscent of a bygone era. Featuring, in my opinion, one of the best restaurants in Palms Springs, Melvyn’s, on the property, this adult only Inn is perfect. Included with your stay you have access to the Avalon Hotel and all its facilities, which includes multiple swimming pools and a bar. We enjoyed our stay, we especially liked the live music at Melvyn’s in the evening, and coffee and breakfast on the veranda in the morning.

Beautiful grounds with historic charm, friendly and helpful staff, great pool, easy access to Melvyn’s…this is a gem! Gravel pathways made it challenging to maneuver for the person in our party with a walker…also the entrance to the shallow end of the pool was extremely narrow.

It was GORGEOUS! A true blessing to be so privileged to stay in such a beautiful place in a such a beautiful city.
