La Serena Villas

Like that I don’t have to leave property if I don’t want to—has everything to enjoy a relaxing few days away. The location up against the backdrop of mountains is gorgeous —doesn’t feel like just out front door is downtown and anything else might want/need for fun getaway. But that is another great thing about the location—restaurants and shops just steps away. First room noted thermostat must stay at 72 but that is not comfortable and appears room never got cool at all—maybe air was broken? But luckily it was heat of July time so hotel not full and staff was able to quickly /easily move us to new very cool room for remaining nights!

This property is very nice and gives a luxury feel. The room was very intimate and we love the privacy with the private patio. Staff was super nice and helpful, the continental/complimentary breakfast was also great.

The villa was a perfect little getaways, and I loved having a restaurant and spa on site. The pool was also nice and never crowded. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helped me make reservations at the spa.

Quiet. Serene. Peaceful. This place delivered on these must-haves on this specific trip. While I usually stay at my favorite properties in PS and on this literal street, this was my first time at La Serena. Prior, I had dined at Azucar, the Restaurant on the rooftop (which was not accessible on this stay). I was impressed by the quiet, elevated, and thoughtful vibe this place offers to the Traveler. With only about 20 rooms on the whole property, I immediately felt like I found a private gem in the desert. Complimentary breakfast is simple - coffee, fruit, some toast and muffin options. The 2 pools are small and open late, perfectly fine for the amount of people staying there. I had the "King (01)" traveling solo, nicely appointed with a comfortable king bed, large bathroom/rain shower, and lots of nice details to feel at home in your own private stylish Villa. Loved the detail of a small bar with fridge situation - I stocked it up with my favorite beverages and snacks. (Bevmo is across the street!) Every window brings in natural light - with every vantage point considered for privacy. I felt like I had my own little apartment Villa, with a backyard patio, complete with outdoor bathtub - calming vibes, but too hot out this time for IRL use. Def NOT a party vibe. I spent much of my time IN the actual room for writing and some work, and this place was perfectly quiet for that. Downtown is easy to walk/drive only a few minutes away. Great stay. Would absolutely stay again.

Beautiful grounds. Love the private patios. Restaurant is delicious…get the scallops! The only thing that rubbed us the wrong way and it is NO fault of the hotel…was a loud mouth MAGA man. We were there to relax and the last thing I want to hear is anything about that orange guy and how cool ICE is. (Insert eye roll) The MAGA man was just spouting off stuff around the pool and then proceeded to do half naked yoga in full view of us and the diners. Nobody needs that. We left early as this dude commandeered the pool area and that’s what we were there for.

La Serena Villas is the best place to stay in Palm Springs. If you love a very private, personal and perfectly appointed villa. The restaurant Azucar at the hotel is also spectacular.

I loved everything! As soon as you walk in, there’s someone there to greet you and welcome home. It felt luxurious, pampered and surrounded by people that cared. I will be returning and highly recommend if someone is looking for something special. I can’t think of anything
