Boardwalk Beach Hotel

We’d booked expecting breakfast to be included, only to be told at check-in that it wasn’t. The towels were tiny, barely large enough to cover you, (I’m not even tall). To make matters worse, the “clean” towels they brought the second day weren’t actually clean… one had a bunch of hair on it. Other guests were extremely disrespectful, partying, running, and shouting in the halls until 3am. The final straw was seeing a cockroach in the room, that’s when we decided to check out early. Small things added up too, like a burnt-out bulb in the lamp that was never replaced. A remote that didn’t work. The beach itself was beautiful, and the hotel did offer some nice activities, but the negatives with the room, and other guests far outweighed those positives. Honestly, I don’t understand the high ratings this place has, our experience didn’t match them at all.

We had ants in our room the size of the ones you see on the national geographic channel, you know the ones, that carrying leaves in the Amazon. I loved the pool and convenience of the beach. That was amazing. However, I won't book here again tho. I asked for ant spray from 4 different employees. No one ever brought me any. They sprinkled stuff out side my door. They started knocking at 9 am to clean my room on check out day-that aggravated me. I waited over 4 hours for bug spray and they didn't rush to do eradicate the problem but wanna rush me out a hour before check out. Got to do better.

When speaking with front desk regarding issues, I was shut down immediately and over talked by the assistant manager, not a person that you can explain things to, and then be accommodated in a professional way. I had a bathtub that if you step the other side popped you up it was very unsettling. It was very hard to shower and I felt dizzy and you were gonna fall over and I was told by the front desk oh, that tub needs to be replaced. Did not offer another room when I first complained. The room was not clean. I didn’t wanna walk around without my shoes on. I get out of the shower. I immediately put shoes on the mirror around the edges were black due to water being splash. The sinks were low as if for children, the toilet was low everything was very old. You could see wear marks on the toilet seat. There were cigarette burn marks on the edge of the bathtub was very unappealing, around the baseboards nothing looked clean in ages. The furniture was very warped very cheap and furniture. One piece was turned around and you could tell was exposing the MDF board. We were awoken at 3:30 AM due to the fact that a truck backed onto the sidewalk almost near our door and was sucking out grease from the kitchen area and running his truck which to run the power of it was very loud and actually got me out of bed just by the beeping of his back up signal got me out of bed and then to hear the thing run for like 20 minutes was very annoying. Outdoor walkways could use pressure washing more.

While the room was clean and livable there were some upkeep maintenance things that could’ve been better the size of the bathroom is a little small but the staff was great the mayonnaise were great the access to the beast was wonderful overall there was no complaints and will be staying there again in the fall

We were looking for a budget-friendly option for a short 3-night stay, right on the beach, with basic amenities like sleeping and showering facilities. While the beds weren’t particularly luxurious, they were a significant improvement over sleeping on the floor. The bedding consisted of a fitted and flat sheet, a thin blanket, and a sheer covering on top. However, we did notice some mold in the bathroom, particularly on the bottom of the door and the side of the dresser. This was to be expected given the high humidity and wet conditions. One aspect that bothered me was the housekeeping. There was a sticker on the bathroom mirror stating that linens and trash would be updated daily, with a full clean on the fourth night. Unfortunately, neither the trash nor the linens were ever taken out or replaced. I had to personally request new towels. They advertised having two pools, but I only ever saw one. The arcade was also out of commission, as the token machine was broken, making all the games inaccessible. They sell 7lb bags of ice for $5. There’s also a small cafe that serves breakfast, lunch, and offers happy hour specials. Additionally, there’s a restaurant and bar, but I never saw anyone actually dining there. It seemed like most people were just hanging out at the bar.

Location wise it’s great! Literally right on the beach. The day time staff was super nice! The lady who works the night shift is RUDE and can tell she clearly hates her job. The rooms aren’t super great. The first room we were in, the ceiling was bubbling and cracked. When it rained for half a day, we had to switch rooms bc the roof was leaking. The rooms are a little out dated. In the room we switched to, the AC leaks so I woke up to a soaking wet towel and a huge puddle. I paid $400 for a 3 day 2 night and I don’t think it was worth it. The restaurant on property isn’t open either. There are two pools but one is NASTY. The arcade room didn’t work either. Also people were smoking weed at the pool.

Nice place to stay . Didn't have any problems with staff or anything.

The only good thing is the beach

We have stayed here before, but it’s been 8 years. It was as clean and well maintained this time as it was before. Nice place with good rates.

Nice enough, older but clean. They have no onsite laundry facilities for guests was my only complaint.

Dirty room,false advertisement coz photos doesn't match with the place

I don’t know why there is so many bad reviews I bought disposable sheet sets and bed bug spray for travel just in case and didn’t need them; I checked for bugs and did not find any. The room was clean and smelled like cleaning products when we checked in. We were able to request more towels as needed the girls at the front desk were all super kind allowed us to pre check in and a early check in at 4 which is normally 4-6 in June. We had an ocean view it was beautiful the cleaning staff were all polite and considerate the kids absolutely loved the pool and the fact they could shower off before going back to the room for the beach. People do smoke there and it is dated but I’m pretty sure that’s anywhere you’re gonna go. But the beach was gorgeous the beds were comfy and clean and waking up to see the ocean from the window was amazing I honestly will stay there again when we go back because it was clean big free ocean view free parking and a private beach and 2 pools for a great price! Oh and we found luggage carriers so not sure why they said there’s not any on reviews. There’s a lot of kids there but as someone with kids it made it more fun since they could play with people their age and make new friends. Thank you to the staff for an amazing experience!

The place is run down. Everything needs attention. We have stayed here many times because the location but it looks rough now. We had a difficult time with communication at the desk. We won’t be back.

A little rough to look at and rooms are old but the location makes up for it. Right on the beach and close to lots of things.

Called up front . It stopped for ten mins and got worse. Nobody stopped a boom bow that was blaring at the pool for two whole days. Reggae music which I hate and was forced to listen to. Dude looked aggressive and definitely drunk and defiant.
