Hilton Vacation Club Bayside Resort Panama City Beach

The room was recently renovated. The pools and hot tubs were great. The grounds are well kept. Nice barbecue area and mini golf. Loved the private beach area and bar. The food was great at the bar near the pools. The only thing I wished was that the food/bar area was open longer than 8PM.

Room was excellent. Restaurant was also excellent. Great place for our two day stay.

Front desk was an amazing. We were there for our birthday/honeymoon. She was able to get us a beautiful surprise for our stay. Everything was very clean. Will most definitely be back to visit

Staff did not tell me I received a resort credit with my booking which meant there was an extra $60 on my bill that went unused. I would have liked to use those credits. I think it’s also a bit silly to have such a BEAUTIFUL and high end hotel and not serve your guests breakfast. But other than that, loved my stay here and will be coming back. Just wished I hadn’t wasted nearly 100 without any heads up and didn’t find out until I was handed my receipt.

We absolutely loved it here. We used both pools and the bar/restaurant was so convenient with late nights. Only downside is it’s a bit of a drive for go to any of the places like downtown to do activities or the restaurants.

I liked everything about the property from the room, the staff, pools, bar, and the food. Nothing, I liked everything.

When booking no where did it say I was going to be charged before checking in since I selected pay at property. Never had that issue ever in the 10 years I’ve been staying in Panama City Beach. Upon arrival me and my wife was told the room was paid for and there was nothing else we needed to do. At check out the front desk told us we still owe a balance of $231. I usually never try to leave a bad review ever but this has me absolutely upset and therefore will never stay at the Hilton vacation club again.

Location was great drive was short to the things I needed to do Hotel really wasn’t a resort it had two pools and a mini golf course arcade really wasn’t pleasing to adults the amities really weren’t out there for a resort felt like a little more glorified hotel then a resort the private island was overgrown and not visibly appealing and my bay view room was tucked in the corner looking at the other side of the hotel and pool with a small corner of the actual bay view

Construction was going on and only one elevator was working

Staff was great. Could actually use a little help at the front desk and flip flops by the pool. But we absolutely loved our stay it was really really nice.

The front desk staff was super welcoming to begin with. Then you go to concierge who tries to get you to do a timeshare presentation when all you want to do after traveling is get settled in your room. Only one elevator worked and it was dirty for the first day and a half. The ice machine on the 4th floor was in operable. The bathroom extremely small. The hotel states private beach and it’s more like a miniature sandbox. Horrible advertising. No continental breakfast. One bar not really a restaurant. Didn’t open until 10 for “brunch”. So you would have to leave the premises for a good breakfast. So many lizards, snakes. We saw baby alligators. We were promised a birthday gift sent to the room. Never arrived after numerous conversations with the front desk. None of the expectations were met. Will not stay at that resort again.

Overall good experience but everything was SO slow. Their check in process was 2 step thing. There was a long time to check in and once I checked in I was directed 20 feet away to another line where I need to wait for a parking pass. The elevators were slow and we ended up taking the stairs. The restaurant flip flops was really good but also very slow. I’m not an impatient person but I was slightly annoyed with that. Overall, a good stay though!
