The Blennerhassett, a Giovanni Hotel and Spa

Ate at the restaurant and after being served was ignored. Waited over 20 minutes after completing the meal and finally had to go to the bar to ask for containers and to pay our check. Not impressed and will not go back.

Beautiful old hotel. Like stepping back in time. Gorgeous furniture and art. Staff was wonderful. Room was very clean. Bathroom was huge. Most comfortable mattress I have slept on at a hotel. Check-in and parking were very easy. Worth the trip back to Parkersburg just to stay here again.

The room was clean and beautiful.

Since being recently acquired by Wyndham, the hotel no longer offers the amenities they previously had like valet parking and a bellman to help get luggage to the room. Without those amenities, we will not return to the Blennerhassett. Older adults will struggle to get luggage carts into the hotel because of heavy double doors at the entry and the distance to the elevator. The self parking lot is behind the hotel, again a good walk for an older adult. Staffing is an issue, in the restaurant which previously was a great place to eat. We sent back cold food the first night, and our breakfast was also cold on delivery the next morning. We will not come back again after this.

I love staying at hotels that have history and chatacter. The Blennerhasset has both of these. It is beautiful and has charm. Everyone was friendly and professional. Lee the chef cooked and waime an excellent breakfast even before the wait staff arrived. I'm an early riser.

We were upgraded to a junior suite, which was very nice. My only suggestion is that they need to upgrade their TVs. Also, it would be nice to have bottled water available either in the rooms or to buy. Everything else with the room was great. We ate our meals in the restaurant, and the staff was very friendly, and the food very tasty.

I couldn't get the bathtub hot water to work. When I reported it to staff and ask for a price adjustment. They said contact Expedia. My next step.

2x staying! Great historical hotel! LOVED the room, the restaurant was great, speakeasy was nice also! We will stay here again!

Wonderful stay! excellent restaurant on property, historic building and district, great landscape and plantings, clean room and comfy beds.

The hotel was historic with nice rooms. I would have preferred a nice shower, over a tub/shower. The pillows were cheap, but plentiful, would have liked fewer higher quality. The restaurant was onsite with a good menu. Parking was easy.

It was extremely clean! The shower was nice as opposed to a tub. The beds were fairly comfortable and it was quiet all night. My only suggestion is to provide a mini fridge/microwave in each room.

Desk clerk was very pleasant and especially helpful as we upgraded our room. The bar and restaurant are excellent. The hotel's charm is, well, charming. Free parking is a plus, and overall ambience was very pleasing.

Great place, close to lots of activities & restaurants. Will definitely go again!

This hotel was a delight to stay in! From the Staff to the excellent food and evening entertainment to the beautifully maintained rooms, we enjoyed ourselves immensely. We were able to visit several shops and an estate sale while there and loved each of them. Very welcoming community! We will be back.

Excellent stay

A nice historic hotel. Rooms are adequate, not huge but nice. Decor is very pretty. Breakfast is not included but the food was delicious and priced completely fine.

Unique historic property; walking distance to the river park.
