Motel 6 Pasadena, CA – Old Town Pasadena Area

This is a good 2 star hotel in Pasadena but the hotel does seem a bit run down since some switches don’t work and the paint is wearing off. The AC and microwave / refrigerator were great additions to have so this place could be used for longer stays.

This place was a joke. Literally everytime I went to the office no one was there. First they put me in a room that wasn’t cleaned. Then they moved me to a different room and the air conditioning broke during a severe heat wave and the maintenance guy who finally fixed it was appalled about how dirty and old it was. Every single vending machine was out of service the entire time I was there. This place needs to be shut down.

Got a room pretty late on a Friday night (the rate was great, considering) and ended up extending the stay through the weekend. Staff was great (overnight, very attentive) and worked well in shift-change (the morning person literally took over helping me as the overnight staff was off right as I was inquiring about staying longer). My initial room didn't have a working fridge, more or less because of the condition of the outlet where it and the microwave were plugged up, and we were immediately moved to a room that was in working order. The property is large, well maintained, and reasonable in price, location, amenities, and the like--which is impressive considering the place was pretty much at capacity (still summmmmmer here) and getting things like extra towels, wash cloths, and housekeeping in general was so easily accessible! Motel 6 is not known for its amenities. However, this one seems to find a way to do worse. The place smells of pot. The bathroom lacks soap, conditioner and shampoo. When you ask for it at the front desk, they seem to be out of everything.

Everything is good

The morning we were leaving there was a cockroach on the sink by our tooth brushes and the only thing you get for a shower is a little bar of soap. The refrigerator and microwave was a great amenity

Air conditioner was broken and leaked water all over the floor. All they did was change the towel on the floor when house keeping came to clean the room. Also appeared to have chewed gum on the wall. Staff was very friendly. Parking was difficult due to a fully booked venue and police activity

You get what you pay for!

I always stay here and it's comfortable and I don't mind the area

The hotel is in need of repair. The door was so warped that small animals could get in. The deadbolt only closed if the door was pulled on. And the safety bar couldn't be used without pushing the door closed. No towel racks at all. No hooks in the bathroom. There was nowhere to hang up towels by the shower or sink. The room was clean with a newer fridge with freezer and a newer microwave. Both were really nice. The bed....had a top sheet used as the bottom fitted that didn't cover the mattress pad. It was a good foot to short so once I got in bed my feet were on the mattress pad and the sheet was all bunched up. I've stayed at this location before, but it's really run down now.

The staff was awesome very friendly and open to help within reason The location seems to be consumed with people that use drugs. At night it’s very loud there are strange individuals knocking at random doors very late at night. There are individuals that seem like they should not be allowed around children. Not a place for the weak minded or for untrained children

Clean room and nice staff.

It was very very dirty. The room only can with 2 bars of soap, 2 hand towels and a wash cloth. Had to ask the desk for bath towels. Asked for a hair dryer and they said we had to buy one from them. Floor was filthy. Mopped it ourselves with a wet hand towel. Will never stay there again.

The location was great. The pool was great. The room accommodation was great. Unfortunately the fridge stopped working on the 2nd day, luckily we had a cooler and filled it with ice from the ice machine to keep some of our food items from spoiling. We did not report it because we didn't want to be inconvenienced by moving to another room, or by having a repair person in the room. We did leave a note when we checked out.

Room was clean quite property staff was friendly.

The location of the motel is not Old Town Pasadena as stated in the title. It is significantly farther east on Colorado Blvd than actual “Old Town”. The staff was helpful in helping us park our car with a trailer in the parking lot. There also was no extra charge for our dog. The actual condition of the room was okay. It was obviously older, but clean. There was only one small bar of soap provided (no shampoo or bodywash), and the towels were very thin and somewhat scratchy.

Convenient. Everything worked. This motel needs a redo. It is tired and shabby.

The room was comfortable and really clean and the staff was very polite.
