Fantastic loved it great service nice hotel

Everything was great except for housekeeping. The sink had 2 hairs in it my entire stay- and it did not belong to me. There was a pool towel that was on the floor until I checked out.

Breakfast was good. Everything was exactly what I expected besides the price of the room. I lost power because of the tropical storm and I was without electricity. The first night's stay was around 155.48and according to the front desk personnel the second day the price was 229.08 because of the storm, a extra 62.00. I had no choice but to pay for it and they knew it, which I thought was pretty sad considering the situation. In the future I'll definitely take my business elsewhere and believe me when I say that I'm definitely spreading the word about my experience. Having the price jack up during the storm.

I booked the room to sleep 5 people. The pullout couch did not have any linen. I had to go and get my own linen and extra towels so we would have enough. I wanted to do a walk through before turning in the key card, but the key card was de-activated right at check out. The Wi-Fi was not accessible 1 hour before check out time. Next time I'm in Port Arthur, Texas I will not stay at Holiday Inn Port Arthur-Park Central.

The property has a nice pool area though we didn’t use it and a really good breakfast with a good variety of options. The room lacked in cleanliness, smelled musty and the fridge was not clean. Also the carpet needs to be steam cleaned as it as sticky in some areas. There is a no-pet policy but the neighboring room has a dog that barked all night, as if it was locked in a bathroom. I doubt it was a service dog because they are normally very well trained. I called the front desk about the barking from my phone as the room phone did not work, and the lady told me she knew who it was and would call them about it. However, the barking didn’t stop.

booked a king, they gave me a queen and the room smelled heavily like smoke. gave me a queen suite instead.
