Fireside Inn & Suites Portland

Great experience and highly recommend

This hotel was one step higher than a roadside motel. The room we got smelled like weed which might be pleasant for many but not for us. Thankfully hotel staff were able to accommodate us to a different room. Hotel is dated. Looked like it’ has never been renovated. Breakfast was basic. Coffee, granola bars, pre-made sausage and egg sandwiches or bacon and egg sandwiches. But outdoor pool looked clean.

This is our second time here. Great staff. Clean establishment. Cozy rooms.

The room is clean

Me, my husband and our two kids got into our room and when I was putting our things away I found women’s used panties on the floor. I told the front desk and was moved to a new room without a discount or upgrade. The new room had stains all over the blankets and brown hair on the beds. I LOVE the fireside inn in Belfast Maine so I figured the Portland fireside would be similar and I was absolutely disgusted and shocked. $180 for nasty rooms.

Unfortunately my boyfriend cut his foot really bad on the hot tub and we were only offered a couple of Band-Aids to resolve the issue. We paid more for the property because we wanted to have access to a hot tub which was lukewarm at best. Our room was only full size beds when it was supposed to be queen and we paid more than we would have to stay somewhere else that was ultimately a lot nicer. I was really unhappy with my experience and won't be staying here again.

Very dated and old. Bed was very hard. Not my taste. Stages very nice.

Property is dirty and unkept. Our room had beer bottles under the bed, trash, and toothpaste and makeup caked all over the sinks. People sitting in the parking lot/in front of entrances smoking weed for hours on end.

Comfortable and clean, large room. The pools were really nice! Breakfast was disappointing but overall, worth the price.

The Fireside Inn was an enjoyable stay for my family. We loved the heated outdoor pool. Parking was very convenient. The location was central to many areas. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.
