Forest Villas Hotel - Prescott

Nice facility - spacious rooms, lobby and pool. Well kept, attractive grounds. Robust buffet breakfast. Electric car charging stations and underground parking. Housekeeping services are limited, and they fail to execute on the limited services they promise. For example - I left towels on the floor to be replaced as instructed. They were not replaced. Bathroom sink was never cleaned during a 5 day stay. There is a coffee maker in the room, however even when I left a note for housekeeping I was never provided with regular coffee, only decaf. The place can be noisy - my experience included barking dogs and running kids in the halls, as well as the ability to hear the conversations happening in the next room.

This used to be a nice property however it appears to be in decline and poorly managed.

The facility was most likely the fancy uptown place to stay in it's day. Our room was clean, but our complaint about the room is the TV kept freezing and couldn't watch a program. The air conditioner unit was very loud and sounded like it was going to take off, but it worked well. In general everything was clean except we went out on the patio that goes to the pool area and the area was dirty, outdoor furniture was stained and ripped, The entire area needed som serious attention. Didn't use the pool. The breakfast served was nice and no complaints. Staff very nice and helpful. The hotel is dog friendly which I do not have a problem with, however an owner left their fur baby alone and he was continually barking. Staff was advised and dealt with the situation. With a little more TLC this could once again be a very cool hotel. Even with the issues we would give it another go.

The hotel was good for the price. Many areas of the hotel and rooms are dated, but the bathrooms look recently remodeled. The pool was nice with plenty of chairs and shade. Some staff were terrific despite a rough check-in. Breakfast was good with some basics.

We had a hard time getting enough towels and our room serviced despite many conversations with the front desk about it. That didn’t seem to help. They were short staffed at times which we gave grace to but it was disappointing to constantly have a towel situation. They need to purchase more towels for the property as a whole.

Negatives- room wasn't ready at our arrival time of 4:30 p.m., when we went to take our showers around 7:30 p.m., we had to call the front for towels and after 30 minutes one of us went to the front desk and ask for towels and were told they were in the dryer, when housekeeping came to our room while we were out, they left the door ajar and notes on the bed as to why the were not made, and the accessible room which was as promised was located a great distance from the front desk and breakfast area. The only non=step entrance was the front entrance.

Other properties might offer the same amenities, but Forest Villas excels at offering upscale ambiance. A grand room for breakfast, a glass of wine, a chat by the fireplace or a palm-sheltered spot to curl up with a book. A pool area sheltered by tall hedges, with areas of sun and shade for lounging. Gardens with space for picnics. Great views, peace and quiet, yet moments away from shopping and the historic Whiskey Row.

The breakfast was excellent!

The staff was great. They were friendly and professional. The breakfast was awesome and they met my dietary needs. The place is beautiful. Please, someone needs to clean the doors to the entrance. Hand prints on the white doors and windows. Also, the breakfast area, the counter where the juice machine is located needs cleaned.

THE BAD: Bathroom fan cover was coated with dust; some bed pillows were quite old (one had a few blood spots!) and need to be tossed, lobby upstairs carpet is stained. A special shout-out to Pamela and Naomi at the front desk - you made me feel welcome and seen.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Great for the price!

Nice hotel, staff and amenities, but the room next to me had a pet and I continuously heard it running back and forth in their room - I called the front desk but they didn’t know anything about it and said they didn’t have any other complaints.
