Super 8 by Wyndham Richmond/Chamberlayne Rd

The property could do with upgrade but the location & convenience to the Race Track was excellent as were the staff.

There was no shower curtain in the bathroom so the there was a bit of a mess after my shower. The sheets and pillow cases had stains but did not have any odors. There was body wash and soap that smelt very good bolted to the shower. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was not the great experience I am used to in Super 8 Hotels, but it was decent.

Exceptional

I stayed 3 nights at this hotel for the NASCAR weekend at Richmond Raceway. The location is great, right off I95 and only a 10 minute drive to the track. The staff was attentive and pleasant. The room was lackluster at best. The tub faucet dripped the entire stay, the tv was severely off color and looked like soda or something had been sprayed on it. Microwave worked properly and the fridge was a good size with an actual separate freezer. The housekeeping staff did come everyday to refresh towels and toiletries. Bed was comfortable and the hotel was quite quiet for a good nights sleep. Overall it served its purpose but I would not choose this hotel again.

The room was full of roaches the microwave did not work at all neither did the fridge and it was very dirty and honestly just disgusting room overall. Definitely not worth any money. The staff was very friendly but the room was repulsive.

Close by to everything I needed. Tonya the manager was fantastic all around and made our stay extra special. Nothing

Filthy room, yellow stains in bed. Floor wet and smell. We ended up just leaving.

It is 3 miles to racetrack, so that was good. But definitely would not stay there for a full weekend.

Bed was comfortable Air conditioner worked good Refrigerator was cold bath tub nasty with rust and dirt bad smell room wasn't clean smudges, cigarette burn marks all over (supposed to have been a non smoking room There's no iron in the room. Here's some advice, if you're gonna stay here bring your cleaning products to clean your room and bring your own sheets and pillow cases. It's a gamble, you might have a good room and you might not. So be prepared. Also lock your card until you get there mysteriously extra money was taken from my card before I arrived and they still charged me the full rate when I arrived. The Male Owner and the Black female manager were nice and apologetic and accommodating about things, which was appreciated. However this location gives the Wyndham Brand a bad name.

The only saving grace to this visit was the incredibly kind lady at the check-in desk. Otherwise this visit was quite bad. As a Wyndham rewards member I have stayed at numerous Wyndham properties and have always been please with them, including other Wyndham properties in Virgina (most recently another Super 8 in Christiansburg). Upon check in we were met with the smell of Marijuana. I realize it's legal in VA, but the room was "non-smoking". The lock on the door was broken (literally hanging), the bathroom was DISGUSTING (urine stains on the base of the toilet), hairs everywhere (including the "clean" towels), water marks all over the mirror (definitely uncleaned after the last reservation), and dried up bar of soap in the shower, black mold around and under the shower mat, and a soft spot in the shower floor that felt more than a little unsafe. The floors throughout the room had a greasy, slick covering. The AC continually dripped water (sounded like a running faucet) into a strategically placed trash can underneath it, and the vents were covered in a black substance I can only assume was mold). We slept on top of the covers on the bed because after pulling them back we found hairs on them, just like the ones on the "clean towels". Also, the supplied hair dryer did not work. The TV was unplugged upon our arrival making moving furniture a necessity to correct. The furniture hasn't been moved and cleaned behind in some time and it was blatantly evident. The remote control was missing the battery cover which was the least of its trouble, it was covered with what felt like possibly the same sticky/greasy covering the floor. It was Nascar race weekend so other accommodations were in very short supply (trust me, we looked) or we would have found others. To say I am dissapointed would be an understatement. While loading our car this morning we heard a heated discussion between staff about other visitors complaints. Seems they were having the same issues we were. Hopefully this means staff has been alerted to the issues and will attempt to fix them.

The indian people were so rude to us, the black lady in front desk at night is amazing. My hotel room was so nasty with mold and ashes everywhere. There were pubic hair on the beds and look like sheets aren't clean. The walls were so gross in our rooms.

Par contre, il n'y avait pas d'odeur de cigarette dans la chambre non-fumeur que nous avons sélectionné. Le déjeûner compris n'est qu'en réalité qu'un paquet de mini-muffins probablement acheté dans un magasin grande surface avec du café et un pot de jus.

the rooms need to be updated badly. everything looks old. there were homeless people sitting in the lobby all day. its thoughtful to help get out of the heat however weird to have random items of theirs sitting in the lobby all day
