Great location, near North Fork Wineries, friendly staff and clean room. Highly recommended if you're doing a weekend winery trip.

Guest also have access to the hotel pool across the street, which had live music. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Appreciated the on-site parking and walk ability to nearby restaurants. Complimentary breakfast was perfect. I wish we had more time to stay! Would highly recommend.

The hotel truly exceeded all expectations! It was super clean and the entire property was updated and felt new. We stayed in one of the suites and it truly blew us away. It was very large and comfortable. Gorgeous bathroom as well. I am still Impressed with how much we enjoyed this room! Would absolutely recommend to anyone that needs to stay in the Riverhead area.

No food, snacks, or vending machine. You have to leave the hotel for any kind of food.

Stayed one night for a concert at the Suffolk theater. Danielle checked us in and couldn’t be nicer. We had our room early. It was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was a nice touch. Would stay again in the future.

Above and beyond customer service, gorgeous and spacious bedroom and bathroom, the absolute cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at, excellent location not only within Riverhead, but also as a weekly/monthly basis for scenic drives all over Long Island. The craftsmanship, esthetics, attention to details… shows that owners then managers want to do everything right. I first stayed 3 nights in the main building with voluminous spaces, then moved for a week to The Howel House next door. That renovation to offer all modern amenities in a mainly Art Deco style was superbly done, both by the designers and the craftsmen, beautifully maintained too. Even the communal areas and outdoor patios are expansive and most enjoyable. Bravo !!! Best enquire what a “studio” entails, in private and communal amenities, but all wishes were immediately and graciously granted.

The breakfast was terrible and disappointing. Next time I will skip the breakfast and go out instead.

Parking was great, plenty of parking and close to entrance. Staff were friendly. BUT!!! Our room was DIRTY !!!! There was mold around the tub, and pubic hair on the bathroom floor and shower floor, the garbage can in the bathroom had previous persons garbage in it, dresser had items of previous persons in it, couch pillows and bedroom curtains had food/questionable stains on them, ceilings had dust build up in multiple areas, bedroom door didn’t close at all because the hinge was broken!!! Very disappointed in the lack of cleanliness of the property. Would not stay here again.

The staff, especially Danielle was extremely nice. The hotel was very clean. The rooms are a lot nicer than the pictures. I was nice and quiet. The breakfast was good. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed for a quick getaway after a play at the Suffolk Theatre! Staff was kind and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Town is walkable. Many restaurants to choose from . Will add The Preston House to our getaway list !

I travel for a living and am in and out of many places, Preston house is a step above the rest. The rooms are spacious and clean, parking is convenient and the front desk staff is professional and kind. Please keep it up and I will be back!
