Kahler Inn and Suites - Mayo Clinic Area

Pros: this hotel has the underground tunnel connected to the hospital so it was easy walking over, expecially since there is massive construction going on right there. Hotel was clean, staff was wonderful, breakfast was a good variety and good. Rooms were quiet, never heard any of the construction! A detail I may have missed or it wasn’t added in the description was if you parked in there ramp it was 17 dollars a night. Cons: defiantly needs some updating, but biggest con was the room we had was definitely not handicap accessible at all for the bathroom. Being “connect” to the hospital and the amount of the elderly I would think it would have something there. Toilet was so low almost ment for a child, and extremely tiny room, no grab bars, and step in shower/tub. I would stay here again, most definitely but not if I had elderly with me again

Very accommodating for Mayo patients the breakfast in the morning is a big plus.

Location is incomparable and rooms are larger than Grand Kahler. Staff was friendly and helpful when we had to change our reservation. Breakfast room kept well stocked, good staff attention

This is such a convenient and affordable hotel near Mayo Clinic. Has under ground connections to all Mayo Clinic’s. Also underground parking. We always stay here. Decent breakfast provided.

The property was fine. The staff could be much more friendly and welcoming. We would consider staying again, but our stay was just okay.

Nice clean room with excellent access to the Mayo clinic buildings. The breakfast was wonderful and the breakfast staff were great! I would stay here again, for sure, if we need to return to the Mayo clinic. You can also park at the West ramp for inside access to the hotel.

Access to Mayo Road construction

Good beds and heating and cooling system. Good workout area. Broken shower handle and construction going on all day out our window. At times very loud. Months away from completion.

It was a good stay, with a very helpful staff. Hotel is very well kept, but could use some freshing up. All in all very nice, with everything we needed.

We didn't have breakfast. The room was nice and big, and very clean. We stayed at the Rochester, MN location. It was very close to Mayo Clinic, which is the reason we were there.

There was a very large (by the sound of his bark) dog just down the hall from us. He had been barking for some time before we called the front desk about it. We were told that it is a dog friendly hotel and nothing they could do and she was very short with us. It took about an hour and the poor dog stopped barking. We understand that people are there because someone they love is sick. We also know that pets are family. If it was my dog, I would have wanted to know. And she didn't need to make us feel bad....

This was the most convenient property to Mayo Clinic. Great room. Wonderful breakfast.
