Kahler Inn and Suites - Mayo Clinic Area

I had appointments at the Mayo clinic for 3 days and this hotel is connected to Mayo. I was very happy with this hotel. The ease of getting back and forth to my appointments each day was very helpful. The breakfast buffet had a great selection of items for everyone. The room was comfortable except the bed was a litte hard. We were able to park our car in the garage which was convenient since it stormed with hail one night. When I travel to the Mayo clinic again I will try to stay here. Very convenient!!

i really appreciated the relaxing stay at kahler inn and suite. the staff from front desk to breakfast nook are so great. it continues to feel like a professionally run establishment with some down home feel.

Breakfast was good and parking was a dood benefit

The property was not very clean. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. It’s very nice to be across from the Charlton building when you are a mayo patient. they also have a wonderful hot breakfast every morning. The pool had clumps of large amounts of black hair floating around.

The breakfast was nice and the staff were all friendly.

Very nice hotel. One drawback is the lack of plugs by the bed. Luckily, we had a charging bank for the phone.

Clean, spacious rooms.

The hotel was nice and clean, staff were very pleasant, breakfast was a big tasty buffet. The only complaint was the parking garage was very little and barely fit my mid size SUV because of how low the ceiling was, but there is another garage next to the hotel that was actually cheaper. Also, being on the side where all the construction was going on, but I get it they had to start super early because of the heat. Most importantly though it was with walking distance from all of my Mayo appts and several restaurants.

Room smelled like a musty basement. The ceiling above the bed was dirty.

The major problem we encountered during our stay was that electronic keys were not getting us into the room. It took 4 attempts to get an electronic keep to work!

I love the location in conjunction with Mayo Hospital, Beds are way outdated and should be replaced. Carpeting could be either cleaned or replaced especially the halls!! But the breakfast nook was very nice and tasty.

Check in was slow and somewhat chaotic.

Also, the parking ramp gave me a ticket at the hotel, but there were no spaces available.

Front desk staff were not very friendly. Rooms were adequate, tub was slow to drain, shower head came to my chest, and I am not that tall. Hallways were not very clean. The only redeeming thing is the location to the Mayo Clinic buildings and the walkability to downtown.

Parking extremely difficult due to construction. Gave a room that was already occupied. Key didn’t work first two times..

Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Needs some updating but overall we would stay there again. So very convenient if going to Mayo Clinic.

With the construction going on it was a bit difficult to get parking to check in, but raked at a ramp across the street. Was actually cheaper. The room was very quiet. The breakfast was exceptional. I plan to stay again. Subway to the Mayo Clinic was very nice.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, close to Mayo Clinic, and good continental breakfast. As a Mayo patient, it is so convenient and it is the place I always pick when I have appointments in Rochester.

Great breakfast, bedroom less that clean. Stains on carpet, stains on bathroom floor. Keys only worked once or twice. That was a nusciencee! Not to mention pounding of construction workers outside my window all day.
