Hyatt Regency Rochester

Too noisy entire the night.

Room surfaces were small. Ice was inconveniently located. The fitness room equipment was poor. Parking was convenient. Staff was helpful. Overall a mixed bag.

I'll never stay at this hotel in the future. This is not what I expect from a Hyatt. Absolutely no amenities. Housekeeping only by request, you're told to make the request before 11 am and I did. The result was no housekeeping. My room was never serviced.

The room and the property were very good. The Astor restaurant was terrible. Saturday morning we were advised we could only use the breakfast buffet. We couldn't order off a menu. All of the food looked very good unfortunately everything eggs, coffee, sausage etc on the buffet was completely COLD. When I complained the server did request fresh eggs and coffee from the kitchen. They only deducted 20 per cent from the check. In restrospect I wish I had said I wasn't eating or paying and left to go elsewhere.

Will not stay there again. I would not recommend it either. Paying for parking is absolutely ridiculous. The room was reserved for 2 people and there were not enough bathroom towels/supplies etc. There were dried French fries in the ice bucket. The room itself had a very unpleasant odor. The staff were dry and unhelpful. I got a drink at the lounge and never expected to pay that much for a single drink. Overall… nope. Never again.

The property looked amazing but the rooms left a lot to be desired it looked as though it needed a Really Good thorough cleaning ! I’m not sure if I would stay there again it was the location that really drove my decision to stay there. Now in regards to Travelocity, I booked a package hotel , airfare & rental car paid for everything so I thought. I came to find out that they only made a reservation and I was charged for my room when I checked out , that was extremely confusing and disappointing. I booked a package to avoid any unexpected expense!

The hotel was a good size. However, it was incredibly dirty. There were no amenities (food) available until after 5:00pm, with the exception of the breakfast buffet. When we one to flower level floor to eat, we saw two mice run out by the food. Unfortunately, we will never go back.
