Hampton Inn Rock Hill

Staff was great. Hotel was clean. Easy off I77 & easy on! The fact that your showers don’t have a hand held attachment makes it very difficult for older people!!

Breakfast was good. Location was great. The beds were comfortable and a great height for my elderly mom.

The staff at the desk was amenable, friendly and courteous. The room however was cheap. The pillow cases were wrinkled. The blanket was just not nice. Everything just looked incredibly cheap and not well cleaned. What really grossed me out was the pillow cases and the pillows inside. They were stained with yellow. Also, the pillows were so flimsy and non-supportive because they were very old. It completely grossed me out and my husband and I left.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. There was some remodeling taking place, but it wasn't loud and didn't interfere with parking or anything we needed to do at the hotel. Our room was very clean and comfortable. There were several shopping areas and restaurants nearby. We walked next door for dinner at a nice Mexican restaurant. The lobby has a very good breakfast each morning.

It was fine The only thing I didn't like was a fee for incidentals. Why everyone has to pay for others mistakes is beyond me. I do understand you get the money credited to your card. If they are going to charge you. They need to walk the room with you. (Inspect room).

Exceptional

If I enjoyed warn out linens, elevators with tarps up in them, warn out towels, bubbling wallpaper, scalding hot burn your skin off water in the shower, and a shower head that sprays all over the place,then this would be a 5 star review. The hotel is warn down and it needs a face-lift. They could use new linens as they are all frayed especially the bedspreads--this is likely the product of animals that stay there. The elevators have some sort of black tarp hanging in them, at first we thought they were doing work on them, but it doesn't look like work is being done and it is obvious these have been up for some time. The shower water had 2 temperatures scalding hot and burn your skin off hot. One other thing is, they could really use pillow cases that fit the pillows. It is gross to sleep on pillows that are not covered all the way and other people's heads have touched. The staff was very kind and the breakfast was OK. It is nice that they have parking and it is free.

Lightning in the room wasn’t adequate. Construction was going on and the elevators were padded up.

I have stated this particular property on a number of occasions. Always clean, always staffed by nice people, and it is a consistent, good experience.

The food was too high. It wasn’t reasonable for traveling hard-working man. I think things could be a little bit more convenient.

Close to everything love the hotel have stayed before Pillows were too soft

g about it. Starting on the 5th flr and working their way down. Just be sure to request a floor away from construction upon check in. Quiet & clean overall. Great location to shops and restaurants. Breakfast was solid.
