Americas Best Value Inn Rockford

It has a bed. Hotel is dirty and is in very rough condition. Smelled like smoke and tub was so gross we did not bathe.

It was pretty decent for the price

The room we got smelled like smoke and sweat, the bed had a red mystery stain on part of the sheets, the bathroom was clearly bare minimum clean, the outside of the hotel had trash strewn about, there were people shooting dirty looks at us. Maybe full time residents, there was a woman under the influence of some kind of drug outside. The staff tried to offer us two different rooms one of which smelled like smoke and was also unclean, the other smelled like cat pee so either a pet was snuck in or someone engaged in less than legal activity. Our original room also packed a smoke alarm which is illegal under state law. Long story short, spend a few more dollars for a safe and nice place to stay. The staff did allow us a full refund despite policy saying otherwise so that was appreciated.

Staff was friendly, but the room itself was absolutely disgusting. There was mold on the walls, tobacco in the bed sheets, yellow staining and outdated everything. I checked out within 10 minutes because I knew o couldn’t sleep there. Yes it’s cheap, but cleanliness was something I expected at any hotel. Staff was helpful and was able to give me a refund. He was very kind and helpful, the place just wasn’t up to my standards.

Checked in at 1:51p.m. Front Desk attendant was friendly helpful. Room was well worn, bathtub and tile were heavily stained, but would have been acceptable for the price and for a one night stay. Turns out plans changed and by 7;30p.m. needed to leave. Checked out With Out using room. Asked about a refund but 7 hours had passed so none was given. Understandable but still ---.

Didn’t stay, went to another motel. Area was a little sketchy.

Architecturally the hotel had potential but after arriving at check in at midnight - they took over 15 min to get us checked in, even though I’d paid on Expedia. I had chosen a king bed - he didn’t have one and gave me two double beds in a room he assured was non smoking room but reeked like smoke. The hotel was smelly and dingy and I couldn’t sleep thinking there may be bugs crawling though I didn’t see any. We got out of there as fast as we could.

Save your money and keep on scooting down the road! They shouldn’t charge people $25 for these “accommodation” We had to wait 20 minutes for someone to even come to the front desk for check in. Horrible room conditions, I didn’t want to risk taking a shower because of the shape of the bathroom. If I could have requested a refund of my money I would have and went someplace else. Checkout next morning at 7:30am there was a sign on the locked door to call “this” number for assistance. Don’t waste your money.

Looks like a homeless camp or a scene from a horror movie. The tub and shower were painted with house paint and failing. Not sure if the sheets had been cleaned this month. Slept with my clothes on. At least the window air conditioner kinda worked. Not sure how this place stays open. Should be close to condemned. Photos on internet are not current and misleading. No breakfast the door is locked to get into it.

For the price it was decent.

No ice. Smelled like pot. Bathroom tub in useable. Sheets with cigarette stains. Bathroom counter broken. Air conditioning not on u til arrived. Poor smell. Felt unsafe. This is apartment complex va hotel.

This property is an old HoJo's that should've been torn down about 20 years ago. The cleanest part of the entire experience was the reception area. Coffee only "starts at 9" for those of us who need to be somewhere by 7, that's not going to work. It is becoming a residence motel for what appear to be low-income folks. (No offense to them). Room smelled of very old cigarettes and had a sticky residue on some of the surfaces. Old, peeling paint on all surfaces. Bump holes in the walls. Light switch that stayed on in the toilet/shower room only when putting a piece of tape on the switch itself to hold it on. Towels that leave lint on you when drying. No mattress covers. Old sheets. Didn't turn on AC or separate heat-afraid of the smell that might've come out of it. No phone or clock. No amenities that I could see, unless you count the individual shampoo, conditioner and cheap bar soap. Scattered trash around the property. Beware the midnight run of the FedEx jets that fly low over the property, as it is in the flight path of the Rockford International Airport. Staff was cordial.

Didn’t have enough blankets

Hotel in bad shape. Rooms not clean and smell like mold and smoke. Tub was in need of replacing. Worst experience ever.

Room wasn't as clean as it should have been. the blankets weren't clean either. lucky i had an air mattress and we used that.

My room was not ready and I had to wait for over an hour while they cleaned it however, the floor was wet from being mopped, our socks and feet were black from walking around in the room after it was supposedly clean. The check in on the computer screen was difficult to understand the person who was checking us in. He was not very professional when he asked me for my social media profile which I did not share. The female who was an actual person that came up to the desk was unpleasant and appeared to be anywhere else but at work.

Staff was extremely unprofessional. Dressed in sweats and flip flops. VERY clearly on drugs. Place smelled horribly of marijuana. The room was unclean, sheets had clearly not been washed. Bathroom was disgusting and the hardware was extremely rusted. Pictures were EXTREMELY deceptive. We left and stayed in the Baymont on Lyford Rd. Much better.
