I booked what showed to be a cottage but was placed in the back of a row of very unclean motel rooms. The AC did not work when I arrived however they did replace the window unit while we left and came back. There was a truck with boat trailer parked long ways in front of the rooms making it very difficult to park. The room smelled moldy and of mouse poop. There was mouse poop and a dead roach in the cabinet. There was mouse poop on the fridge. There was a dirty musty couch. There was no trash can other than the tiny can in the bathroom. There was a hole in the bathroom wall covered in black duct tape. The bathroom sink was dirty and toilet was dirty. The vent fan was caked with dirt. The bed covers were thin, stained, and full of holes. The pillows were flat as pancakes. This place made me cry because I was stuck staying there. They refused to give me even a partial refund. Said it had to be done online. $385 for 2 nights was ridiculous for this dump.

Straight up, do not stay here if you have any standards in cleanliness and tidiness as the MINIMUM expectation for a 2 star motel. The place was so repulsive, and I do not say this lightly, it honestly is not inhabitable and should be shut down. No paying guests should be allowed to stay at this place. When I say it was disgusting, this is not an understatement. First impression when driving onto the premise, overgrown weeds and grass, paint peeling, wood rotten and falling apart on the buildings. Walking into the office, the filth you can't unsee, the smell of sewage and garbage takes your breath away. Going into our room, the room smelled like mold and was musty, the toilet seat was broken and cracked right where you would sit your butt down, there were pubic hairs on the toilet. After seeing this, we inspected the pillows, and they were foul! They were stained with other people's sweat. So then we lifted the mattress and we find an apple seed sized bug, which was dead, and that was it for us. We left immediately and booked a room at the holiday inn express. Whoever is leaving 10 star reviews and commenting about how clean and comfortable the place is, shame on you- stop lieing! But hey, this place got $450 from us over the 4th of July weekend, so good for you, but this place should be condemned, it's not suited to be a paid for accommodations. I beg you, save yourself stress and feeling sick to your stomach. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Outlet didn’t work and no WiFi charged me $50 for something I’m not sure and I can’t get ahold of anyone about it

Just location IF you are going fishing only.

If you're going to Rockport to fish, this is pretty perfect - just a short walk across the street to the dock. The beds were very comfy - one of the top most comfortable mattresses I've slept on in a motel (and I've slept in quite a few!) Aside from the sheets on the beds, this cabin just felt "yuck." The bathroom smelled horrible, the walls and doors were nasty, and the kitchen wasn't something I'd want to eat out of directly. (Not even a sink in the kitchen - just fridge and microwave and a nasty built-in table.) I was afraid to sit on the couch or chairs (you could see old food or something on them). If this wasn't pre-paid and non-refundable, I'm afraid I would have moved to a different place. I'm not a clean-freak by any stretch of the imagination ... the place was just poorly maintained. (Maid service did her best, you could tell - the entire property just has a ton of deferred maintenance issues that make the place quite unsavory to stay in.) The pool is not usable. Even the office smells bad and is a total wreck. The owner obviously doesn't care about cleanliness even in her own personal space, let alone in the guests' spaces. She is very friendly, but this place needs so much care that it's not getting. It could be awesome, but it's barely tolerable.

Great location. Could walk to the only bars open at night. There are no Ubers after 9pm. For the price everything was excellent. Nothing

Just the location Nasty

It’s right on the water, private pier. Stained towels and bedding. Dirty bathroom. Door didn’t lock very well and all windows were unlocked.

I've stayed here a few time and it has always been great. This time I feel like we got the best room ever!!

It was a great location facing the water and had a pier. The room was spacious and had a fridge and microwave. Parking right next to the room made it very easy to unload. In general the rooms need to be updated, though they were very clean. The room smelled nice and not mouldy like other hotels on the water.

Property is an easy drive to restaurants, grocery, quirky little downtown, bars, Rockport’s great beach. Property has definitely seen better days but cottages are very spacious…two rooms. Ice machine not working. No extra toilet paper rolls in bathroom. There is a pool though I never saw it being used. Owner very friendly. Right by the water. This is a low budget motel at a low rate. Keep your expectations with that in mind and it will work for you.

the cottages were cozy and area of them was perfect. the water pressure could be better in the cottage we stayed at.
-
The pool was okay, too much chlorine though, and as for the air conditioning it is very cool.

Ac stopped working. Bathroom floor was wet the whole time we were there. Cigerette holes in bedding.
