Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Rome

The entire hotel was torn up, furniture stacked in piles, everything closed, no bar, no restaurant, no services provided. Contractors were on-site all day every day I was there. My room had several issues and the leaking/moldy bathtub faucet was leaking and keeping me up every night. I requested for it to be fixed and told 'no', as it would be replaced over the next few weeks.

For the price of the nightly stay. I would expect stainless carpet. I was truly disappointed at the stains in the carpet. Paying to park per vehicle. The bar area was closed under reconstruction.

Before checking in, I wish we had been informed about the ongoing renovation.

Great view, but there was gum on the nightstand and the internet was awful. I needed to work while there and it was almost impossible

The staff is amazing I was staying with them for a surgery recovery and they were so kind providing all the amenities I needed to help my recovery. The staff went above and beyond to help us out thank you for everything

In our first room, I pulled up the edge of the sheets and bed skirt and bedbugs were just falling off the side of the bed. Staff did not do anything about it, but move us to a different room. I checked it for bedbugs and it was OK, so we stayed. But I had phantom itching all night and terrible floppy pillows. So, did not sleep well. I asked if we could have a free breakfast or money off the room, but management didn’t back with us. The rooms were not well maintained, the carpet was fraying the length of where it meets the tile, the lampshade had a rip in it. There was a stain on the ottoman. I was shocked they think they are a fine Hotel of some sort. The architectural details of the old mill are very unique. I liked that. After a horrible sleep, I wanted coffee. Each room only has 1 coffee “pod.” We went up front to get another and were told that was it. We could go buy coffee. Breakfast closed very early, so we could t get anything there. I hate this was how I spent my money I was there because my husband and I needed a break from caring for my elderly mother. I left more stressed.

That we should never be charged for parking in the parking lot of a hotel we are renting a room in. You need to stop charging customers for parking.

Please check your bill carefully before and after your stay, as other guests could also be at risk of unauthorized charges.

We have stayed at this hotel for a number of years when visiting Rome and the hotel is very unique but sadly it needs updating. At the very least a deep cleaning and airing out the stale rooms. The hotel is very convenient to downtown Rome attractions which is why we like it.

Everything at Hawthorn is clean and the staff is excellent. Having to pay for parking is a bummer but I guess it’s worth it to have such an awesome place to stay!

Nice place, good amenities, great location. Will stay again.

Every hotel in United States should be like this would totally recommend staying here safe clean and wonderful environment

3 things: 1. We paid for a river view room, but the trees were blocking our view. 2. Every Morning there would be a smell coming from the bathroom sink. 3. Parking is not included in your stay.

Staff very kind

This place has a ton of potential. It just needs a facelift. The staff was fantastic. Location is great. If they updated the furnishings and planted some flowers in the flower boxes it would be so much better.

The staff was nice, the room was clean , and it was close to walk downtown No complimentary breakfast, parking was a dollar , and a cup of coffee was 4.50 cents over all it is a nice hotel

Amazing! Perfect for a day trip! Near everything so we could walk everywhere!!
