Staybridge Suites Round Rock by IHG

The staff was kind but the first room we were put in was very dirty. Though, we did get a better room. We wanted to use the pool but I was not working and green. The whole hotel is pretty ill maintained. Mind you we’re weren’t expecting luxury but it could’ve been atleast clean

We were told that arrival time was 3 pm. I showed up at the 3 pm arrival time and was told that nothing was available and that it would be another 15 minutes. I gave them 20. Came back inside and was told that it would still be more time as they were still cleaning the rooms and that it would be another 15 minutes. Long story short we got into our room around 3:50. Room was very poorly maintained. There was mold on the top of the shower backsplash, what looked like blood splatter on the mattress cover, and a big brown stain on the pullout mattress. Also noticed several small roaches over the couple days we were there. Air conditioning on the room was very very loud and did not seem to keep the bedroom very cool at all as the living room grill was pointed directly at the thermostat. Housekeeping showed up at 6 pm the second day were there. We had just gotten back from an activity and were napping before going out for dinner. She knocked once and then attempted to awkwardly barge in over and over again. I opened the door for here and she began talking to me in Spanish and I just told her we needed to swap out towels. She handed me two trash bags and expected me to change the trash out for her. Overall our stay was ok. Cleanliness and maintaining of the building are the two main negatives that drove my review down a lot.

Had blood on the walls in our room and the hallways had a very bad odor. The whole place needs work and could use a good cleaning. Wouldn’t ever stay in one of their suites again.

The staff was nice, however, the hallways were hot, I asked for an ADA room several times and a shower chair. This place the bathroom was dirty, and there was no shower chair once I asked for one the receptionist said he had never seen one there. I was told there would be a shower chair. The bed had a black mark on it and the bed skirt was dirty as well.

The waffle iron was not clean for breakfast. My bed did not get made up nor did I get any new face towels.

We got there the pool was green. One of the kitchen stove burners didn’t work we was told they would send someone they didn’t. We booked there because of the stove and pool so overall not great.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the food was not fresh, the pool did not work, and the rooms were not cleaned well. The carpet was very dirty as well and the elevator was scary.

Breakfast had a good variety. Social hour was lacking - very dry old foods. Staff wasn’t friendly always felt like an inconvenience. Will never stay here again!

Disappointing

Had a variety of different stuff to choose. When I walked into the room my son spotted a dead cockroach on the kitchen floor and the restroom lock didn’t work.

Exceptional

Hotel is in need of repairs and deep cleaning. Toilet in our room rocked side to side. Door frames in bathroom falling off. Carpets not clean. Never got service to room-no towels on second day.. room 302 Description states indoor pool/but outside-not open

Pool was closed for maintenance for all 3 days of our stay..in upper 80 temperatures. Room smelled a little musty. Outside lobby smelled of moth balls. Appreciated the complimentary laundry.

Room was dirty. Sheets and towels were dirty. We got new ones at front desk. Problem solved.
