Hibiscus A103 [2/2] Free Activities! & Oceanfront Wifi 3 Pools

Our accommodations were very welcoming and comfortable. We loved having access to a washer and dryer since the location was super close to the beach. The location made it easy to enjoy as much beach time as we wanted! The pool and spa areas were well kept as well. Communication with people at the resort was always friendly and helpful even though we didn't actually see the people in charge. Check in and check out were easy. This location and style of accommodations fit our family very well and we would stay here again in a heartbeat! Great value! The only thing I would request is more towel hangers in the apartment. Since we had a ground level room and have a large family, it was challenging to lay things out to dry. The in-apartment dryer helped tremendously with that issue though.

Beach area is reachable and acceptable, however not a cleanest one.

location, heated pool, on the beach, This was our second time staying at Ocean Gate at Hibiscus and had no problems. This time we had many issues. The rug in the condo had lots of stains, the screen door to the patio was completely ripped so we could not leave it open. The dryer left rust stains on our clothes and the heat sensors on the dryer were not working. The ice maker was not working at all and it was turned to the “on” position. There were no batteries in the remote for the primary bedroom TV, we called and were told housekeeping would bring up batteries, they never showed up so we just ended up sharing a remote with the other bedroom. The primary bedroom doesn’t have cable but the living room and secondary bedrooms do (make that make sense). We came back very late one night to someone parked in our assigned spot, we called security but he wasn’t even on site (also make that make sense), so we parked in visitor parking and my husband left a note on the car stating to not park in our spot. Come to find out the next day the person who parked in our spot was housekeeping. Why is housekeeping there at 1:00 AM? And they should not be parking in spots that are reserved for guests who are renting. We also found out that housekeeping came into our condo without our permission! There is no housekeeping services, so please tell me why someone is allowed to enter without permission or knowledge? We found this out because we had a vacuum in the closet and we went to go use it and it was gone. My husband went down to the office to find out what could have happened and he was told housekeeping is allowed to enter!! I don’t have proof unfortunately, but I have some very expensive makeup go missing!! It never left the bathroom and was there the night before all this happened. Hot water doesn’t last very long and almost non existent after a few minutes. The grounds really need some help with clean up and landscaping. Leaves and brush keep falling into the spa’s and the pools. Very disappointing.

Also over heard him telling another guest you can try and complain about me but you willl have to complain to a 3rd party!!!

No parking pass in room.

The location was right off the ocean. They had a heated jacuzzi & heated pool. Wonderful security man. It was a nice sized apartment and was perfect for our vacation visit! Everything was wonderful. Minor changes could be new wash machine, safety bar in the bathroom shower area & new toilet seat cover. Other than that, it was great.

The location was great. Easy to get to everything. 3rd floor walk up and you don't know until you get there that you are on the 3rd floor.

We liked that our room was clean. We could not raise the blinds without them getting stuck and having to untangle them. Our ice maker did not work. The communication sucked, I did not receive any phone calls. No paperwork of proof. The qr code was hidden behind tv in bedroom, and had to call after we got locked out coming back from the beach. Never received codes until later on that afternoon. Thankfully we found the qr information. Didn't like the fact I received no pictures of what my room looked like before arriving. Made it feel like a scam, no one on the property could help. Their was no staff to assist us , until you waited on the phone for someone to help. Then they were helpful. I was told had a beachfront view , but yet surrounded by other complex with views of my car in parking lot. Then dealing with people parking in my spot. Just thankful it was Clean. Loved St Augustine. Just need better communication and pictures. Will not recommend sadly on our experience.

Good value A bit dated and run down. In concerning disrepair in places

Everything was good. Great location wonderful access to pool and beach.. Area has great food and historic St Augustine a must with fun shopping and great food .Would return again. Attention should be given to a few items that need update. Simple things, but should be addressed and updated.

Many roaches in the room

Love location and the surroundings, the pool perfect temperature No one there and had to call for room number and codes.

Perfect spot for easy beach access! Adorable little apartment!

Apt G101 was clean and nice set up. Faith was kind The building was old and had a smell in the hallway. Loose and rotting boards around community deck. The apartment was clean except living room carpet badley stained. The washing machine went crazy during spin cycle as appeared tub was loose on our very small load.We had to hand ring them out. Information was not in room but texted gate info and no wifi information. Faith was responsive and nice but other calls made later were left unresolved.

The location was phenomenal. The security guard kept harassing me and my family about wristbands. I had to call management because he kept taking photos of my children in the hottub. I showed him we had purchased a 4 night stay and was given access to the amenities but he rushed us away from the pool and hottub because we weren’t given wrist bands. No other family there we saw had bands on their arms. He followed us around for two separate nights taking photos of us until I had to call management to make him stop. We weren’t able to use the pool nor hottub for TWO OF THE 4 NIGHTS we stayed because he kept making us leave the area. I’m very upset as this was my engagement trip. And it was completely ruined.

Beach, area clean and tidy, nice size, balconies great, bed comfy. Sink clogged in masterbath, glass doors in livingroom did not lock. Garbage bags in kitchen EXTREMELY flimsy. No instructions, where is garbage disposal, no shower gel in any shower, sofas stained, jacuzzi tub in middle of room, strange, out dated. Overall Decor dated. Code to beach & wifi code? Washer makes crazy loud noises, seems broken. A welcome letter with written instructions would have been nice.

Loved Loved this place! Stayed in G101 and would love to stay there again. Seriously best stay in St Augustine I've had yet. Beach a short walk out the back, very nice staff, great location.

The unit we stayed in was unacceptable. There were over 50 stains on the carpet and it needed replaced. Bathroom ceiling also needed repair. We contacted the property upon arrival asking to move. Nothing available, no refund, and no manager available until the 4th day. We asked her for refund and it has not happened. We called over 6 times and was promised housekeeping would come by. They never showed and couldn't clean carpet without professional.
