I was incredibly disappointed by my overnight stay at The Grand Hotel. I booked this stay to accommodate a friend who drove a long distance for my daughter’s wedding, but the experience was stressful and deeply uncomfortable. Unacceptable Room Conditions: -Sleeper Sofa: The couch cushions were torn with padding falling out, and the mattress was completely unpadded box springs. It was entirely unusable, forcing us to share the King bed. -Severe Cleanliness Issues: We found old popcorn on the sleeper sofa sheets and a large clump of coarse black hair on the King bed sheets. -Broken Features: The television did not work, and we had to call the front desk twice just to receive pillows. -Poor Amenities & Lack of Communication:Room amenities were bare-minimum (only basic shampoo, body rinse, and sink soap). The hotel provided zero information about the included breakfast or their on-site restaurant, Bentley's. -A Warning to Future Travelers:After my stay, I learned that as of May 2026, booking through third-party sites like Expedia often means hotels allocate their worst, lower-tier room inventory to those guests. Regardless of how a room is booked, a hotel should maintain basic standards of cleanliness and service. The Grand Hotel completely failed here, and I will not stay here again.

I love how friendly and helpful the staff were. My Rubicon was too tall for the underground parking so they allowed me to park in the front covered area for free. Loved how close the concert and entertainment was.

Great rooms
-
At checkout, the front desk attendant was more interested in chatting with guests rather than addressing the long and growing line of people trying to checkout.
-
Huge praise for the breakfast—it far exceeded typical hotel expectations and made for a great start to the morning.
-
Thank you for keeping your clean standard top notch

Been here ever since it opened as is. Not much has changed. Staff is always very helpful. Prices are to high. But sometimes you don't have a choice.
-
Beautiful hotel with a great location. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast in the morning.

There was a small hiccup with our room not being fully cleaned and the hotel clerk fixed it right away. The next room was beautiful. It is close to food, shopping and drinks. The bar in the hotel has amazing cocktails.
-
The location and convenience of hotel was very helpful. The rooms are set up for guests relaxation and comfort. The breakfasts were wonderful. Parking garage was so convent. All around great stay.

My daughter/husband/granddaughter and their dog stayed on my reservation here and we’re very impressed with the staff because they were very very helpful

Our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was great and hotel had convenient complimentary parking onsite. Restaurant choices were plentiful and easy to walk to

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Convenient location for concerts at the Elsinore Theater.

This property could use an update. The lobby is grand and well maintained but the hallways and rooms are dated and a little tired. And the room I had was fairly loud.
-
Rooms are pretty sound proof which is a BIG plus. Breakfast was pretty good as well, tasty, and well stocked. This hotel reminds me of those fancy hotels but much further BACK in the day fancy hotels. I wanted to walk around nearby but didn't have time unfortunately to check out the sites around the hotel. I think if they renovated the rooms, it would be a much better quality hotel that would attract a younger crowd. Would i stay again, probably not.
