Comfort Inn & Suites Salt Lake City I-80 I-15 Downtown

Room was clean but hotel is old. Girl who checked us in was unfriendly. Worst thing for me was that it’s not in a good area. If I had been traveling alone I would have moved to another hotel.

The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good, could have been more options. The front desk was nice.

Room was clean. Nice breakfast. Allow pets. Always a nice stay.

Lovely clean rooms and friendly helpful staff

Building was dilapidated, signs were smashed, bad neighborhood, build was in disrepair. We didn’t even stay. We booked another hotel.

This hotel is right off the highway but difficult to turn into because of the median. It took some navigating on some back streets to work our way around to it once we could turn. The hotel room was very nice. There is a restaurant right next door, but every item on the menu features plantains, including the burgers.

Clean for a good nights rest

It would’ve been nice to have blackout curtains in the room. The lights in the parking lot were so bright.

Her room door wouldn’t latch properly. When she reported this safety concern, staff responded, “They all have problems.” The sink water smelled and tasted like sewage, forcing her to buy bottled water just to brush her teeth. The shower wouldn’t get hot, the room and bedding were dirty, and she was placed in a pet room with cat odors and noise. Breakfast looked and tasted like it had been sitting out, and the advertised laundry was broken. When she needed to extend her stay, staff gave conflicting information and called demanding she return from the hospital to check out and back in. The manager also yelled at her and shooed her away when she tried purchasing water and ibuprofen. I called to address these concerns and ask about compensation. Management became defensive, argumentative, and insulting. When they declined an additional discount, I explicitly said that was fine. What astonished me was their refusal to acknowledge ANY of the issues or offer even a simple apology. As a husband, I should be able to trust a hotel to keep my wife safe while she’s away. Instead, management treated legitimate safety and sanitation concerns with hostility and zero accountability.

When we arrived to our room, we realized our toilet did not work. When we went downstairs to ask for help, the front desk ladies told us that they could give us a plunger to try and fix it or to dispose of used toilet paper in the trashcan. Unfortunately, it was a pressure issue and not something a plunger could fix. As a result, we had to use the bathroom in the lobby which was disgusting and had not been cleaned in a while. There were feces and dead bugs on the floor and in the toilet.

The bed sounded terrible when I sat on it, steal frames that sounded like thunder when I moved. Air conditioners was very loud

The people were great, the room was beautiful, it was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious. The people staff went above and beyond. I appreciated them. In the room it appeared that one of the pictures was put up with the prongs upside down, which meant that the picture actually fell when I walked by it and grazed it with my purse. The chair for the desk was not very good for desk use. And it kept dropping so I had to go out to the office and they were very kind and loaned me one of the other chairs. The shower curtain does not seem to keep the water inside, along the wall close to the door, the water just pulled on the floor. Even though I kept trying to stick the curtain to the wall and not have water go out.
