We loved the free rentals and the location. We will be back!!

The rooms were extra clean and the staff was amazing

There is no one there on staff. The lobby is always locked. There is no way to talk to anyone other than by phone, and cell service is terrible. There is no parking. It is basically a really overpriced, crappy Airbnb with lots of dissatisfied guests. You would be better off sleeping in your car.

Great location, services and value for money.

Beautiful hotel, love it

The room was clean, updated and very spacious. Great location! I would stay again anytime.

This was a last-minute splurge for a night away during a visit to see family in San Diego and we were blown away! The room far exceeded our expectations; the attention to detail was top-notch, and while there was no on-site staff, the staff were incredibly responsive through the messaging platform. We were so impressed and will definitely be booking again the next time we are in SD.

1. Ask for an upstairs room if you’re a light sleeper. It’s an older property and the footsteps are REAL! (The Boardwalk has thoughtfully placed sound machines in the rooms for this!) 2. If traveling as a group of 4, i recommend not booking the king bed/ sofa sleeper combo. It was just WAY too cramped to open suitcases and keep things organized with the sofa pulled out into a bed. Overall, We loved the experience and property and will definitely return!

Room was well equipped with the basics, including the kitchen. However the walls are very thin and the first night we were kept awake with people partying in the room next to us. We told the staff who was super helpful, but luckily the group checked out so it wasn't an issue again. We were ground level and you could hear every shower and flush from the room above. Room was clean to the eye but not the details - hard to reach surfaces were super dusty (when i went to hang towels, etc). Same with the corners. There aren't any hooks outside to hang swim gear so bring a travel clothes line if you think you need it. Would stay again!

Location was amazing. Room looks just like in the pictures. Water pressure was a little weak. Floor was a little dirty.

The hot tub was great, and the the cold plunge was a welcomed surprise. Definitely not for the faint of heart, but also great. The corn hole was also fun. The bathroom was luxurious. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is in a great location. The included rentals also added to the experience. We enjoyed our stay.

I would highly recommend this adorable boutique hotel to anyone and we will definitely come back again!

Everything! LOVED The vintage look of room. Not enough parking
-
Rooms were well appointed with a fancy toilet and retro looking kitchen products. Smell in the room that lingered. Outdoor fireplace didn’t work. Some of the updated construction seemed shoddy. Closet door that wouldn’t stay in its rail. Sliding barn door that didn’t completely cover the adjacent room.

Place was good and clean

The location in Mission Beach was very walkable close to great restaurants and the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much. Would recommend this property.

We have stayed at the boardwalk several times now and will continue to come back every time we stay in San Diego. You cannot beat the location to Mission Beach and it is just the cutest hotel. We absolutely love it and would recommend it to anybody!
-
Julia was amazing...extremely friendly and helpful. The location is sweet spot between Belmont and PB. Super close to the beach and the bay with enough amenities nearby without it being overcrowded.

Super!

I would especially recommend this hotel to anyone requiring a wheelchair accessible shower. The room we stayed in had a roll in shower which was super accessible. It wasn't just a regular shower with a handlebar like most "accessible" showers. There was SO MUCH space and it didn't feel restricted at all.
