Really nice place to stay --you can't beat the location, and the pool area was great. They charge for all extras: $45 a day for parking, and it cost (not a minimal amount) to rent bikes, boogie boards, beach, chairs, etc., though they do give you beach towels with the room. The cleaning crew forgot to clean our room one day, which I didn't realize until pretty late. Linens were nice and the space was good. Plus, for an "partial" beach view, the view was great! Overall, it was very convenient and the staff was nice, so I'd go back.

My sunshine at the desk this afternoon is always so warm and welcoming. She remembers me whenever she’s working. I can’t remember her name but she’s the sunshine working morning shift through this afternoon. Her energy is so positive and welcoming.

Location, location location, right on the beach on the boardwalk close to dining and shopping. Amenities is very good. Hot tub heated pool got a room with a partial ocean view. It’s much better if your room is pointed toward the interior where the pool and hot tub are I’ve done a lot of pricing in comparison the hotel is reasonably priced for the area. They are some great helpful people who are there wish I had gotten her name but she’s been at the desk last two times we visited so helpful and personality plus

Amazing location. Everything is walkable, but if you need to drive somewhere all the things in San Diego are close. Beach, restaurants and things to do all steps from your room.

The staff were very friendly, the room was clean, the pool and hot tub were a positive amenity at the hotel.

This was my first solo trip and wanted somewhere to relax and unwind for a few days. I could ramble on but without a doubt I’m very happy I stayed at the Wayfarer. It’s in the perfect location close to all the bars and restaurants but removed enough it’s not noisy and a little more quiet! The pool and lounge area were well kept, but the access to the beach was the highlight of my trip. Beach chair rentals only $15 per day but totally worth it with free towels. Shoutout to Rick the overnight security guard who escorted me to my room when I arrived super late in the night and gave me a mini tour and recs for spots nearby! The staff were super nice for my late checkout and holding my bags all day till my evening flight. Overall this was a 10/10 trip and highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling solo or wanting a more chill hotel experience!

We had a fantastic stay at the Wayfarer Hotel. The staff was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and helpful from check-in through checkout. Customer service like that really stands out. The location is hard to beat—just steps from Pacific Beach, with plenty of great restaurants, coffee shops, and places to walk nearby. We hardly needed to use the car. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and made a great home base for exploring San Diego. We’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun beach getaway I can't think of anything.

Cannot beat the location. Steps from the beach and lots of things nearby within walking distance. $45 per night to park and the parking spaces are smaller than usual lots. Combine that with people that cant park and its a mess.

Clean and nicely kept hotel. Service was spotty, some were very welcoming seemed annoyed having to deal with guests.

Proximity to the beach was ideal! Such a walkable area, gorgeous property, and such kind and welcoming staff. Loved our stay!

The view from the hotel room was amazing, and so was the close proximity to the beach. Hotel and seated area was also well kept and with a beautiful view of the ocean Staff was not pleasant or helpful in anyway. The only one that was nice to us was the gentleman that helped with our bags. The lobby is across the parking lot which we did not see signs informing us of that. $45 for parking a night which we did not know about. The doors slam shut even when you try to be gentle, I heard every movement from the person above us, the toilet did not work right, one plug in that we could use. Asked for extra towels since with the humidity nothing was drying and they were never sent up. We eventually asked the lady with the cart and she gave us some. I could go on but definitely not worth the cost. Could've spent that money and still be on the beach with better staff.

Location to the beach . $10 rental bikes were awesome! Pool and spa on the ocean side. Lots of pretty new pool deck furniture. Very very nice staff!! Pretty rooms and lobby!!! Board games in the lobby. Couldn’t sit on my “porch” past 10pm because it was near the pool. Elevator wasn’t working so had to drag bags up the stairs. Cafe closed at random time and lots of food items were out or not being served that day.
