Lamplighter Inn & Suites at SDSU

We stayed one night in a suite with our two teenagers which was great because our son used the sofa bed and could stay up later without bothering us. It’s not a perfect updated fancy place but it’s clean and has what you need. The pool is pretty and has nice plants around it. Bed was comfortable! I would recommend it and I would return!

The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good! Definitely worth the cost in comparison to other options.

The room was spacious and modern. Staff was helpful and courteous. Coffee was available in the lobby. Breakfast was decent. We were at the tail end of the breakfast so didn’t get a true feel for what is available.

Breakfast was good, pool was cold. It’s kind of old but clean.

This was our second stay and its was great yet again. Our concierge was excellent. She was able to get us side by side rooms which we appreciated so much. Our family included a disabled adult and a disabled child and we had no problems accessing our rooms.

The only good thing about this property is its proximity to SDSU

Beautiful clean property. Wonderful accommodating staff, clean pool plenty of seating and fresh towels. Centrally located for grocery stores and dining. 20 minute ride into Nascar at Coronado Island.

We felt very comfortable at the Lamplighter Inn & Suites. The breakfast selection is excellent. There is a large breakfast room available, as well as an outdoor area. A real plus was that we didn't have to eat our breakfast off paper plates with plastic cutlery; ceramic dishes and real cutlery were provided! We stayed at many different hotels during our six-week road trip, yet the Lamplighter Inn & Suites was the only one with proper crockery and cutlery! The entire property is very clean, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. At the Lamplighter Inn and Suites you can really say that they want guests to feel at home! We would definitely come back here again.

Very nice basic accomodation with sufficient parking and nice basic breakfast included.

We had a pleasant time at the Lamplighter Inn. Our room was very clean and it was ready when we got there. They offer a good variety for breakfast as well.

Friendly staff, clean room, close to many restaurants. Pool was a little loud at 10pm, but it’s summer, so who cares …..
